Benbo Trekker MK3

The Benbo Trekker MK3 has a highly unconventional design, using a large hinged joint to position the legs.

This trekker won't go far

I bought this about two years ago and have regretted it ever since. It is very unstable and very difficult to set up. The center locking lever is the best feature. But getting the legs aligned and spread out is not easy or pretty to witness. It is...

Benbo Trekker

I bought the trekker without reading any reviews and what a mistake that was! I've found setting it up is like wrestling an octopus and once in position it feels quite flimsy, especially with a heavy DSLR fitted which dosen't fill you will a lot of...

The worst ever

Simply the worst 'tripod' I have ever tried to use. Unwieldy, difficult to lock (takes a lot of torque on a smallish handle) and utterly hopeless on a shiny or in any way polished floor. If you are only ever going to shoot on grass or thick carpet you...

Not at all like an octopus

I have read lots of reviews that say the Benbo is hard to put up. I found it very easy to put up and I have never owned a "serious" tripod before. You just unlock it, place the legs in position and relock it. Simples. The only problem I found is that...

Quirky but very good tripod

Very good for low level photography - can get very low to the ground with this tripod. Can be a little awkward - until you get used to the locking mechanism - but once you do it is very good. Well worth the money.

more trouble than its worth

This was recommended to me and i was warned about the legs. So i took a chance and bought it because i wanted a versatile tripod for outdoor nature close up shots, backgrounds and landscapes. The worse thing about it is the legs, i describe them as...
