The Ion Air Pro action camera lets you live stream in real time

iON Air Pro 2 Wi-Fi review

Despite the large number of action cams on the market, many of them aren't waterproof without a housing. Some of them can't even be mounted without some sort of casing.

The iON Air Pro 2 is a simple-to-operate 1080p action cam that's waterproof without needing a housing; has very good video quality and battery life; and a nice feature set and accessory options for easily adding Wi-Fi, an extra battery, or wireless...

The camera's audio quality isn't great (though there is an external mic jack if needed); only one adhesive helmet mount is included; and its Android app is currently a work in progress.

One of the better action cam options available, the iON Air Pro 2 improves on the original, while still offering a good value.

Ion Air Pro

Ready for action? The Ion Air Pro is. It looks like a torch, but it's an action camera with some serious skills, and a wide 170 degree field of view, so you won't miss anything in the replay. It can even connect to your iPhone to act as a viewfinder....

We love the simplicity of the Ion Air Pro, and how its settings and lack of screen just force you to shoot and go when you’re on location, but depending on what sports you’re into, that could be limitation more than a blessing. In the end, it’s hard to...

iOn Air Pro 3 review

What sets the iOn Air Pro 3 apart from much of its competition is its design.

The iOn Air Pro 3 is a simple-to-operate 1080p action cam that's waterproof without needing a housing; has very good video quality; and a nice feature set and accessory options for easily adding Wi-Fi or wireless remote control. Its 60fps and 120fps...

Taking advantage of its high-frame-rate video capture and Wi-Fi will shorten battery life, which wouldn't be so bad if the battery wasn't built in. Using the higher frame rates also limits a couple of the camera's other features.

A fun, flexible action cam, the iOn Air Pro 3 keeps things simple without sacrificing video or build quality, making it an excellent option for those who just want to go out and shoot -- in or out of the water.

Ion Air Pro WiFi review: Ion Air Pro WiFi

Ion Air Pro WiFi

The ; is waterproof up to 30 meters and shock resistant. HD video is easy to capture with the record slider. Photos can be captured without stopping video capture. Wi-Fi Podz add-on allows syncing, remote viewing, and simple controls via an iOS app or...

The nonrotating lens makes orienting shots at odd angles tricky. No SD card is included in the box.

The standard Ion Air Pro is a rugged sports camcorder that is easy to use with many thoughtful features, but the addition of Wi-Fi and app connectivity makes it a truly standout camera.
