Great images in all modes from a single CCD camcorder, easy access to manual controls, good handling and ergonomics, rotating hand grip / tape compartment a great design touch

No manual audio control is a downer, as is the position and design of the viewfinder which, even when used fully extended, isn't that comfortable to use due to the large battery position.

Good overall design, controls are generally accessible, progressive scan, MPEG-2 recording, rotating hand-grip, manual zoom, manual focus, image quality in video and stills modes, AV and DV connectivity, variable shutter and aperture modes. Let down by...
