Sony FDR-X3000

The Sony FDR-X3000 action cam records optically stabilized 4K footage, but it's not as easy to use or squeeze into small places as a GoPro.

Monochrome information LCD only. Underwhelming still image quality. Limited battery life.

There are some things to love about the Sony FDR-X3000. It delivers excellent, ultra-wide angle video with optical stabilization, not a lot of distortion, 4K resolution, and strong audio quality. I'm also a big fan of having a standard tripod socket,...

Hands-on with the new Sony FDR-X3000 4K Action Cam

Should you get a dedicated action camera to record your exploits and holidays? This little 4K action camera by Sony should tempt you enough to ditch your smartphone camera for better footage.
