Sony Handycam HDR-TG7VE

It may be pricey, but the GPS-enabled TG7VE is a highly pocketable camcorder, capable of very impressive video quality for its size.

Sony adds built-in GPS to a slim and stylish Full HD camcorder

Superbly detailed movies ; Impressive hybrid memory ; GPS features and potential

Touchscreen unresponsive ; Only 4MP stills ; High-end price

Sony HDR-TG7VE review

Consumer video cameras tend to fall into two camps: barrel-shaped ones with advanced features and high prices, and mobile phone-shaped ones with basic features and low prices. The TG7 is a hybrid, with a flat, compact design but a proper zoom lens,...

Geo-tagging is fun and the slim design is great for slipping into a pocket, but it’s not enough to excuse the disappointing picture quality at this price

Sony HDR-TG7E review

Stylish and slinky, this Full HD cam packs GPS for video geotagging. Is it the world's best pocket camcorder?

Pricey, but superior movies, stills and styling make this the pocket camcorder to beat

Sony HDR-TG7VE Camcorder

One advantage of it's size is that the TG7VE can easily fit in any small bag or pocket and as such be with you at all times. Once again Sony are claiming that the new Handycam HDR-TG7VE is the world's smallest, lightest Full HD camcorder.

SONY pitch themselves as a quality company – unforntualtely their postsales customer service is not what you would expect.

Sony HDR-TG7VE

Review The HDR-TG7VE could be seen as Sony's answer to cheap and cheerful camcorders like the Flip Mino HD [1]. However, whereas the latter could be viewed as a bit of a toy, the TG7 is more of a proper camcorder - both when it comes to features and...

If you're shopping for a proper camcorder - and have got a budget to match - then the Sony HDR-TG7VE is an excellent choice. It's quick to fire up, ensuring you won't miss the shot, and incredibly easy to use. The extras such as GPS and Smile Shutter...

Sony HDR-TG7VE

The Sony HDR-TG7VE is a 16GB Flash memory Full-HD (1080i) camcorder with a 2.3-megapixel sensor, 10x zoom and optical stabilisation. It's controlled by a 2.7-inch touchscreen and includes GPS location for video geo-tagging. It measures 62x117x30mm and...

Is this the best consumer camcorder on the market? It’s hard to argue with generous Flash storage, stunning video, surround sound, finger-friendly control, designer build quality and playback that’s smarter and easier than a Flip. Full marks. Sony...

Sony Handycam HDR-TG7VE

So easy to use. Crisp picture and sound quality.

AVCHD video format: You cannot do simple things like connecting this to an iPad to download and edit videos. Files must be converted first where you will lose quality.
