Sony HXR-NX30E

 

The image stabilization is what makes the camera. A nice wide lens and external mic inputs often missing from cameras this small. Great for fast moving news type shoots.

What were Sony thinking placing the headphone jack and external mini-jack mic input underneath the palm strap. I often use this camera without the top audio block. How is one expected to handhold the camera while these connections are being used?

light ,video light built in,great sound

better if light auto switched on/off when you push recored button other wise light on al the time so have to manually switch it off

screen is little bit to small; digital menu is sometime not so easy to fix when you are filming; can not choose kelvin degree for white balance; nearly impossible to use with out the screen …...

I work with Macbook pro and finalcutpro 7. Impossible to convert MTS clips to Quick Time appleprores. Very big problem !

Stabilisation lens allows shooting on the move. I use it for wildlife filming for a quick shot and set the scene with greater depth of vision.

If the lens cover gets wet (rained on) it stops working.
