Claims to make 10 cups of coffee & I can't make 5

Absolute rubbish with false claim of 10 cup coffee maker & yet I can't even make 5 cups without coffee overflowing. After asking on the Breville why this is happening their only response was to use coarse ground coffee. I don't have or want a coffee...

Ugly appliance, doesn't make coffee claimed, Breville customer service is useless & provides incorrect advice

The bare necessities of life

This is what we have. We have had three like this. They work well and we keep buying the same exact one! Hate the thought of having to cope with an expensive Italian cappuccino maker -- this is the bare necessities of life, what you want, what you...

Just what we want and need

Would be nice if it had an automatic shut-off

I'm using it now

I have owned many coffee makers in the past 35 years and so far this one has beaten the others hands down. Freshly brewed coffee with the aroma permeating the kitchen, what could be better?, I use mine every day and have an excellent cuppa each time,...

Everything from the price through to the finished product.

Perfect for a brewed coffee fix

Got addicted to brewed coffees after a trip to North America. Picked this up at Myer on special for about $60. Easy to use (very important first thing in the morning) - pour water into the side reservoir, pop coffee into the mesh basket and hit the on...

Easy to use, easy to clean, makes tasty coffee

Good coffee, fragile carafe.

I am now using my second carafe. It now has a chip on the pouring lip, after only a couple of months. The first carafe broke. This machine makes nice coffee, but because of it's fragility, I am looking for something better. I find it works far bett if...

Good coffee flavour. No paper needed.

The carafe is too fragile, and the machine is starting to leak.

good coffee

I use it with an electric timer set for morning coffee, I use less coffee than a plunger requires and get a very smooth brew. The teflon on the hotplate wearing a bit but for the price (Myers sale $39) a good buy. I prefer a drip filter as I can set a...

smooth brew, can set up the night before, (with an electric timer)

for the price hard to beat

Makes hot coffee within seconds for one person see no reason why it would take much longer for more than one cup

quick,reliable, easy to clean

lid on jug only kept in place by 2 plastic lugs, which I feel will fail before long ,so extra care needs to be taken when washing jug

If you could find another brand go for it

Over the past two years I purchased two Aroma Fresh (Model BCM 120) coffee makers. It is true this one is inexpensive ($45 from Myer), but if you could find an other brand, go for it.

1. Brewing is good (no plastic taste in the first one) 2. Carafe heater is excellent

1. Poor carafe quality. 2. Expensive carafe replacement (roughly $27 without postage, so it is probably better to buy a new one) 3. Poor Breville customer service. In detail: The carafe broke in both machines. The first one I thought it was my mistake...

Good

A good machine for the price - easy to use and makes a pretty good cup of coffee. We use it around 6-8 times a day so we are always amazed if we get 12 months out of a machine as I dont think they are made for using so heavily on a daily basis. This...

nice reasonably priced machine

after 12 months of use although the machine is still going fine, the coffee doesnt come through very hot any more and we either have to leave it sitting for 15 minutes before pouring, or if desperate we have to give it a few seconds in the microwave....

Terrible

Don't buy before checking the plastic smell. After all it is your health and you probably do not want to contribute to a chance of cancer.

Simple and cheap

My coffee smells and tastes plastic even after 10 uses! I would recommend to stay away from it. I am going to call Breville support to demand refund. As it smells plastic it can be very dangerous for your health too. Alex
