This coffemaker does coffee right, but after following the manufacturers instructions and running water through it several times, there is still a taste of plastic after brewing 5 pots. I hope it goes away.

the product literature could be improved. specifically can the plastic parts be cleaned in a dishwasher. dispite what it says in the literature I put mine on the top rack of my dishwasher and use the energy saver mode -- little heat. It did fine.
