ABS Ultimate M6 Sniper - Athlon 64 FX 60 2.6 GHz - 19 TFT review: ABS Ultimate M6 Sniper - Athlon 64 FX 60 2.6 GHz - 19 TFT

ABS Ultimate M6 Sniper - Athlon 64 FX 60 2.6 GHz - 19 TFT

Excellent overall performance; dual-core FX-60 CPU and SLI graphics; no instability issues.

Noisy fans; no front- or top-mounted USB, FireWire, or ports; 550-watt power supply limits high-end expansion; no 150GB Raptor drives offered.

Its Athlon 64 FX-60 CPU isn't overclocked, and its pair of graphics cards can be trumped, but the ABS Ultimate M6 Sniper is still plenty fast for gamers and boasts excellent build quality, a good mix of high-performance component, and stable operation.

Speedy performer ; Comes with 648GB of storage

Very expensive ; Access to its open PCI slots is blocked

This is a system for gamers and graphics gurus who want the fastest PC on the block and are willing to pay for it.

Service and support

ABS Ultimate M6

Dual graphics cards deliver strong 3D performance; quiet; moderately priced.

Monitor and speakers will add to the cost; decibel meter is useless.

ABS doubles the graphics cards in its Ultimate M6 gaming PC, giving you cutting-edge graphics performance while maintaining a reasonable price.

ABS Ultimate M6 (Iss. 21 2004)

Play a game on the ABS Ultimate M6, and you'll feel the roar from the Logitech Z-680 5.1 speakers and see the noise meter on the front of the silver case pumping along.

Cutting-edge processor. Fast primary hard drives with extra deep storage. Dual-layer DVD drive. Good gaming power for the price.

Not much flashiness.

ABS Ultimate M6

Priced somewhere between the worlds of affordable and extravagant gaming machines, the ABS Ultimate M6 is a solid choice.

Cutting-edge processor. Fast primary hard drives with extra deep storage. DVD drive. Good gaming power for the price.

Lacks a dual-layer DVD burner.

Back it goes

It arrived with the side case fan not working and it has the dvd rom and dvd r/w literally wedged in at an angle. I still can open the cd trays but just barely. They are wedged in so tight i would have to use a punch and a hammer to get them out. So...

This machine is amazing!!! What a great deal. Cleanest cabling I've ever seen, runs cool, and boots XP Pro (upgraded to it) in 10 seconds!

$$$ Just 1 GB ABS Ultimate M6 On My Opinion

ABS Ultimate M6 is powered by AMD Athlon 64 FX 51 / 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 FX 60 / 2.6 GHz, and 1 GB installed PC3200 DDR SD RAM. If somehow user feels lack of memory (ram), user can upgrade up to 8 GB.
