Defective DVD Drive

Excellent machine overall

Came with a defective dvd drive. Powers up but will not read or write. Sort of a pain in the neck to return the whole unit because of one defective part

NIC Picking

For around 75 bucks, I'd pull these sticks out and put some desent G-Skill matched pairs in the 4 slots to run at Duel Channel 800. It would run alot smoother.

Nice Deal, Good Processor, Graphics - Well....OK, Large HD. overall a sweet deal for what you get

I took an egg off for the very reason of the memory. Who puts these systems together! 3 - 1 Gig sticks tells me its not Duel Channel and most likely not 800 either. More like single channel 667. Its got 4 slots, why they didn't put 2 matching pair of 1...

Good value computer

The first thing I would do when you get this is turn off the Vista Aero graphics to speed up the system. Then disable the pre-installed stuff you don't need. Basically a fair amount of tweaking will be needed to get it to XP-like speed, but don't...

A system with more than enough CPU power and RAM to run any business applications you might have

Windows Vista is slower than XP. An XP system with these specifications would fly ; Included speakers aren't very good - they actually pick up a local radio station if I hold them at the right angle ; No Microsoft Office included - only a slightly old...

Not too shabby

Right out of the box, I dropped an nVIDIA GeForce 7600GT, wiped the hard drive and installed Arch Linux. This is definitely a computer for running any Linux distro.

For the general desktop uses, this computer runs great. I like how it is both fast and quiet. It works like a charm

There have been no major issues for me yet. Though, the LEDs are bright, especially in a dark room. Hardware runs fine. I booted into Vista at first and there was a heavy load of bloatware, but some of it was integrated into the functionality of Vista....

Very Sassified

I installed a (not top of the line) XFS 8600GT video card and saw my Windows Experience Index jump from a 2.9 to a 5.2, so the integrated graphics are definitely the weakness with the box if you want to play higher end games. Better cards may yield...

This thing rocks right out of the box! Looks cool, runs pretty quiet, it's a solid box that you can easily drop a video card into for a nice boost (I know because I did it). As a big XP fan, I'm actually enjoying exploring Vista so far. I like the...

Not much from me so far -- the integrated graphics hurt the overall WEI (see below) and the included speakers are completely worthless. You can take or leave the keyboard and mouse. I would have preferred some more documentation included with the...

Decent bang for the buck

Everything works. Handy top panel. Bang for the buck for average home user who doesn't already have an OS handy to build a computer ; Good size hard drive let me create a new partition to dual boot Ubuntu Linux and find out it is much superior to any...

The multi-card reader is EXTREMELY SLOW. I have an external reader that plugs into the USB port on the same panel and it is much faster at data x-fer ; Vista is HORRENDOUS! If I had known how bad it was, I would have assembled a system from higher...

A real life saver

A good substitue to a firearm

I live in africa and we have a real lion problem here. One day i woke up to find a dead lion on the floor of my room, and blood all over the case of my computer. If my computer haden't saved me I would be a goner right now

Do not buy this computer if you have small children or pet lions around your computer area

Great Deal

I quit building computers because I get bored quickly and it's cheaper to buy values like this. I have owned 7 Acers back to back. I have one purchased new P350 and it never needed repairs. The PS is silent and the hardware top quality. Not a dream...

For the average Joe- It's ready out of the box. Awesome Acer Reliability. Shipping is CHEAP ; A steal. Quiet

To the novice builder it's not custom. However you can not buy the parts at this price

Great System

Buy a new video card (I got an HIS 512 Radeon 2600 from Newegg) and you will have a system that can compete with the best of them.

I love this system. I bought it from another retailer in a bundle with an Acer 24" monitor. To say I love this setup would be an understatement

The weak speakers that are included, and the typical Acer bloatware. I plugged in my own speakers, got rid of the bloatware and all cons disappeared

Great Machine

I got this pc for normal everyday use and I am very satisfied. I highly recommend this computer.

The machine is very quiet. Plus, its very quick. With 3 gigs of RAM, it runs like a champ. So far, so good. If you are looking for a nice, quick computer, this is a great choice for the price
