eMachines EL1300G-01w

At $298 (as of August 23, 2009), the compact eMachines EL1300G-01w is the least-expensive value PC we've tested at PC World in more than a year. While its performance equals or exceeds that of similarly configured compact PCs, it doesn't rank anywhere...

Beautiful, white exterior ; Plenty of USB ports for connecting devices

Upgrading is a daunting task ; No integrated Wi-Fi

This little Mac-lookalike delivers exactly what you’d expect to find in a s a good thing.00 compact PC--that's a good thing.

eMachines EL1300G-01w

Despite non-gamer graphics, this sub-$300 eMachines EL1300G-01w PC is a fair alternative to a sub-$600 nettop.

A PC with 2GB of RAM and a DVD burner for under $300. Compact. Quiet. Enough USB ports for the whole family.

Single-core CPU. Integrated graphics won't run DX10. No monitor. Exclusive to Wal-Mart. Security software subscription ends after 60 days. Ball mouse.

eMachines EL1300G-01w review: eMachines EL1300G-01w

eMachines EL1300G-01w

Pleasing, compact design; rock-bottom price; DVD burner and media card reader.

Dog-slow performance; easily outclassed if you spend just $50 more.

We cringe at the idea of recommending such a slow PC when you can get significantly better performance for just a few more dollars. That said, it's hard to argue with the eMachines EL1300G-01w's low price, clean good looks, and relatively complete...

Emachines EL1300G-01w Desktop PC Review

So here's a real cheap desktop computer. Aimed at doing just the basics and not including a monitor this system has everything a desktop computer needs and is perfect for a second, general-use system.

The Gigabit LAN is a bit of a surprise.

eMachines EL1300G-01W Review and Ratings

The EL1300G-01W is a good Internet station that will also get you through Microsoft Works without breaking a sweat. But the “02W” model, which comes with a 20-inch LCD for $100 more, is the better value.

Compact, cute design ; Inexpensive ; Nine external USB ports

Slow performance ; Integrated graphics with only a VGA output ; No Wi-Fi connectivity

The eMachines EL1300 Desktop is a great pc! ”

I got my emachine EL1300 desktop as a birthday gift about a year and half ago and I still love it. It's a very sleek design and I love the white color for a change from basic black. It's very quick and I can do everything from e-mail to facebook, or...
