The Orion 9000 has the potential to be a perfectly impressive desktop gaming PC. It's mighty powerful, has plenty of cooling and has several extra features.

Masses of performance ; Plenty of upgrade potential ; Ample cooling

Too bulky ; A bit noisy ; Overkill for most gamers

A high price and love it or loath it design makes the Orion 9000 a hard sell right now.

Extra-dimensional price ; Can’t max out Nvidia G-Sync HDR monitor ; Loaded with bloatware

Unlimited power for a nigh-unlimited price, the Acer Predator Orion 9000 delivers the best performance from a gaming PC we seen, but it’s a machine few can afford and an even smaller subset of users will need.

Acer Predator Orion 9000

Although the Acer Predator Orion 9000 costs a pretty penny (okay, hundreds of thousands of pretty pennies) and features a divisive design, this gaming desktop delivers top-end performance with the most cutting-edge parts available.

Performance monster, including greater-than-60fps 4K gaming. Tons of RAM and storage. Clean, well-designed interior.

Huge and heavy. Plastic build. Case style won't appeal to everyone.

Bottom Line: Although the Acer Predator Orion 9000 costs a pretty penny (okay, hundreds of thousands of pretty pennies) and features a divisive design, this gaming desktop delivers top-end performance with the most cutting-edge parts available.
