Nice unit with big issues

If you have a way to get around the Bios issue, it's a nice unit. I decided to return this unit and purchased an Axxs instead.

Nice case design, very nicely laid out with all cables routed and tied. Very compact for those with little space

Major flaw! The Shipping Bios does not support processors over 2Ghz or any Prescott processors. Bios checks the processor at bootup and gives an error about not supporting these processors and shuts the machine down, so per Aopen tech support, the only...

This was simple to set up. The case is easy to access.

Great design, compact. Tons of features

Only will work with certain processors

Thankfully Newegg's great customer service is helping me out on this one

Looks great too bad I didnt get to use it

This does not work with prescotts; people on here have said it does and others have said it doesn't. Mine booted right up and said not compatiable (this was a 3.0ghz). The listing should say somewhere that it is not compatiable with prescott cpus

AOpen XC Cube EX661L Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron Intel Socket 478 SiS 661FX SIS 661FX OnDie Barebone

Works well and was well packed when it arrived.

It works as advertised. The fan is quiet after being turned on

Adjusting the stupid front panel on the DVD\CD rom was annoying at best

Powerful, when power setting correct

This was my first build of a barebones and it was very easy -- under one hour to config with 1 Gb RAM, 250 Gb Hard Drive, 256 video card, TV tuner, 3.5 bay memory card reader, CD-RW/DVD-ROM, and 2.8 Ghz Celeron D. Using it primarily as a media center...

Price, size, compatibility

Default power setting for CHINA. Must switch for U.S. Not documented - which caused my initial confusion ... DUH

Cute and Functional

I built this unit mostly from older spare parts. It runs great with a P4 2.66 533, 2X512 meg Corsair PC3200 RAM amd a 40 gb Seagate PATA hdd. I used a Sony OEM DVD RW drive for perfect operation of the trap door and a no hassle fit. The onboard video...

Easy uneventful installation. Well designed heatsink and cooling fan, reasonably quite and efficient. Runs Win2kPro SP4 with no issues. It's cute

The Aopen website leaves a lot to be desired. Don't count on a lot of help from the tech support pages they offer. This was advertized with a mail in rebate from Aopen, but others have suggested that you may have trouble getting your money from them

Great little box (Prescott works fine)

Small footprint. Pretty quiet.

Easy to install all components. It's quiet in my opinion. Also, someone else had a problem prescott processors. I put in the 'Intel Pentium 4 2.4A Prescott 533MHz FSB Socket 478 Processor Model BX80546PE2400E' and booted right up - no problem. I also...

So far, none

Good little pc

This is a great little pc. I put a Celeron 315 in mine along with 512 of Rosewill ram and a 250GB Maxtor drive. Everything works great! I recommend using this as a media computer. You really can't go wrong.

Cheap ; Works as expected ; Looks good ; Supports SATA drives

Fan might be a little noisy for some ; The case uses a drive cover for the CD. If your CDRom doesn't match up just right, you might have some trouble

Be advised

Pros: Nice stylish case with a very well designed rack for your components. Everything slides in easily. Which is nice b/c it all comes back out easily when you figure out the problem. Cons: Spontaneous shutdowns due to compatability problems with...

Spontaneous shutdowns due to compatability problems with Prescott manufactured processors. Manufacture's website mentions this after some research ; Hats off to Newegg and their speedy delivery
