weak capacitors on motherboard

Asus has been using subpar capacitors lately. They are not the company they once were. I've had to RT-N16 routers go on me within a year because of a KNOWN issue with a capacitor at 680uF @ 16V electrolytic that they've never bothered to correct. They...

Purchased five of these. One out of the five is still in perfect shape and two more are still running for now

Past extended warranty date so no help there, but these have weak capacitors. We bought five of these machines at the same time, all refurbs. Two blue screened constantly due to bad capacitors. Capacitors show signs of bulging on the boards of two of...

ASUS Essentio CG5270-BP004 Core 2 Quad Q8300(2.50GHz) 8GB DDR2 1TB Intel GMA X4500 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Very powerful machine at a very reasonable price. Tons of memory, a HD way bigger that what our office needed, no major complaints

Ordered five of these for my office - four worked perfectly. One had to be RMA'd as it would randomly power down. The replacement came the very next day (newegg at its best), however it arrived in multiple pieces (not neweggs fault i'm sure)....

Update

Good Value ; Fast speeds ; Lots of memory ; Fast 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive

The DVD drive wire inside the chassis is not connected, you will have to connect it yourself after opening the box , I noticed this few days later ; The cd and dvd wont auto run, you have to click on the drive symbol in the my computer menu

DVD drive does not work !!

Good price and specs ; Loads Windows 7 very fast

DVD drive did not work right from the first day. The eject button when pressed would not bring out the tray. The optical drive appears to be of very poor OEM quality ; The flap covering the DVD drive is quite unnecessary as you need to flip it down to...

In the end all is well

The Good: Got the pc back to my sister the next day and she just loves it and is already making a list to buy more stuff from the egg. After all was said and done I agree and echo the five egg reviews here. If it were not for a company closing for me,...

Introduced another newcomer to the egg when my sister called and said that she has a new pc and would I set it up. (Her husband had went and bought a flat screen tv that he has been wanting and also picked up Asus dual core as she has been wanting a...

The Bad: When I fired up the pc, installed 7, it smelled like a device problem was imminent. The drive was constantly sounding like it was trying to park the heads to idle or something, went to grab a cup of coffee and sure enough when I returned the...

Not what I ordered

No manual. A Printed manual would be nice.

Pretty fast out of the box

It says you get a 1 TB drive. This is not what I got, I got a 750. It says you get windows 7, that's not what I got, I got a hard drive that is partitioned into a C, and D drive. The 'C' drive boots to Vista Home Premium, I do not see how to boot to...

One egg- because I can't select none.

I won't be ordering a computer from newegg again and definitely not a refurbished computer. If you're expecting to be able to use it right out of the box, look elsewhere.

Case is big. Otherwise? I'd have to be able to actually boot the computer to know

I hooked up this computer and it won't boot. I'm very frustrated and angry. I'm a slightly higher than average computer user (can swap out parts do most repairs) and I can't get this to work. When I turn it on it says, "reboot and select proper boot...

Alright

Buy a replacement PCI sound card. That's what I had to do. Not very happy. Plus there's no warranty so I'm left on my own.

Very fast ; Asus/Intel = Awesome

SOUND CARD QUIT WORKING AFTER 7 MONTHS ; C'mon, this sucks. This wonderful PC with all of this reliability and assortment of quality parts and the onboard sound card just stops working. Not a good sign

Fast Pc, very impressed

So far so good. The pc is really fast on boot and everything is in working order. Just know your way around the computer if youre looking to buy this particular model as it probably wont work right out of the box.

This thing boots up very fast. I havent done anything intensive on the processor just yet, but im sure that this pc will be up to the task. Comes with a cool keyboard and mouse also

The video card or lack thereof. Im going to be putting in a new video card soon and test some games out and hopefully everything works out okay. The case is really, really big too. I saw pictures of this thing on the net but when i opened up the box i...
