Asus Essentio CM5570-AP002 review: Asus Essentio CM5570-AP002

Asus Essentio CM5570-AP002

HDMI port and Wi-Fi uncommon in midtowers in this price range; slight performance edge due to more recent integrated graphics chip.

Seemingly nonexistent online support.

The Asus Essentio CM5570-AP002 isn't an overly remarkable desktop, but it has a few extra features that help it stand out. Its Wi-Fi and HDMI video out port give it some unique capabilities, and the best part is that Asus still manages to keep the...

Good Value, caps replaced after 4 years

Really good for the money

After four years, I started getting errors related to the bios not finding the hard drive. I saw that some of the 820mfd 6.3v electrolytic capacitors had swollen tops. The reviews here confirmed that the caps were the likely suspect. $5 worth of...

not good brand

Cheap, lots of rams memeory, and comes with decent cpu power. Lasted for over 1.5 years

Poor design....horrible case. The computer stop working and show a black screeen. Must be bad motherboard or processor. I wouldn't recommand buying it for long terms used

Great while they worked

This really kept me from buying any more ASUS products, as there was no factory recall to repair these, and while Dell had the same problem with GX-280's, they repaired them even after the warranty since it was an existing issue.

Powerful and feature laden with the Wifi and HDMI. Cheap refurbs. I bought two of them, one from Newegg and one from another supplier after NewEgg ran out

Same as other reviewer in that after 1 year almost to the week, both machines exhibited the intermittent Disk Read error. I too noticed the bulging caps and looked them up online (this was a while back) and couldn't find them. I still have both units...

Amazing !

I wish there were more in stock. Im in need of 5 - 10 more of there to stock my company's office and I would love to have these there.

Bought it 4 years ago and for the price I paid this machine is amazing ! I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate as a personal tick and I have no complaints

Nice

Overall I would buy it again, heck i just now checked newegg to see if they still have them because I wanted a second one for the girlfriend.

The Specs are pretty decent for the price I paid

The on off button sucked, as did the all the doors on the case, removed the on off button and all doors. Pretty weak onboard video

This has lasted

I threw in win 7 x64 and a gpu, setting me up for anything I'd want to do with a PC. Expect some kinks here and there.. because it's low-mid range pc with some outtdated hardware, but as long as you're not a hardcore gamer who would needs 190fps on...

For the price point of a refurb, and the quality of an asus... you can't go wrong. No way I'd be able to put this together making the thing myself

One of the faceplates broke off as I took it out of the box, the other looked out of place because of it so I took that off as well. (still looks good)

Great for what it is

For the price, this is definitely a 5-egg machine. If I had paid twice as much, then no... definitely not. It seems if you are lucky enough to get a good one, it will last. Sadly, it seems hit or miss based on the reviews.

The specifications for the price are really good value for money. There was no pre-installed bloat-ware either! This is a simple, great basic desktop with good specifications

The included keyboard does not function after a reboot; it must be disconnected and then reconnected ; The DVD-tray flop down doors are flimsy and can easily break if you're not careful ; They're not any deal breakers, but a keyboard that worked after...
