Not Good Do Not Buy

Looks OK

Never worked good from the start. USB would detect drive periodically. Tried on several different computers with same problem. Changed usb cable and help a little but then same problem occured. Made mistake of not using until after my 30 day newegg...

Not worth $30

I got this with an ICY DOCK. The ICY DOCK worked perfectly with no screws and no fiddling. Same computer and the AZiO and it took a good 30 minutes to finally get the eSATA going.

The USB port works well

flimsy, far too many screws for what it is, and it took a lot of work to get Windows 7 to recognize the drive and enclosure

Solved my ext HDD woes.

I purchased this enclosure to transplant into it a HDD from a Western Digital MyBook which had died on me months ago. I was convinced it was the MyBook's shoddy enclosure that was the problem. After installing and connecting via eSata, this enclosure...

Quiet and fast

Installation of a HDD into the enclosure could have been made into a quicker procedure

Great Enclosure

I don't like the "pin" power cord, but I don't think that 99% would have a problem with it.

I have had this enclosure for almost two years now, and I've had NO problems with it. Quite, fast when eSata is used

It does take a little fiddling to get the case together, kinda difficult, but nothing more than what a 13 year old couldn't do

cheap

Not worth RMA hassle for cheap junk. Go elsewhere, get a fan.

Easy install. Lots of screws but no problems

USB DIED. Esata still works fine. Heats up. Power cord pulls out of AC adapter constantly, had to tape it in place

AZiO ENC311SU41 Aluminum 3.5" USB2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure

I have bought 3 of these over the last 2 years. I have a 750G drive in each. I move them from place to place in our house and use the USB or ESATA connection depending on which PC or TVIX box I have them attached to. They each get warm to the touch but...

Sleek case ; No fan ; ESATA & USB 2.0 ; Easy to install

Blue light cannot be turned off (a bit of tape can cover this) ; External power brick (I like internal power supplies better)

excellent enclosure

Would recommend to anyone!

Awesome enclosure. I've had it running for months 24/7 with zero issues whatsoever. Drive powers down when PC is off, even if the enclosure is still on! Keeps my 750GB drive cool and safe

eSata quit working

I am forced to use the USB instead of the eSata, (which is what I bought it for). When the eSata worked it was really fast. I guess I'll just get another enclosure ...... won't be one of these though.

Worked fine for about 2 months ; Nice case, sleek design

eSata quit working after 2 months. Needs rubber feet for lying flat on my desk, (I don't use the stand). Gets very warm after using drive for more than an hour or so. Power cord occasionally pulls out ..... not cool

You get what you pay for

At a sub $30 price point what can you expect. It does work, although not to the level I would like. I took a risk with a cheap enclosure and am not satisfied. I'm currently looking for something to replace it.

The biggest pro of this enclosure is it's price. The Power supply is a good piece. The enclosure itself is well thought out. It worked great the first 6 months I owned it

The enclosure is simply unreliable. I believe the fanless design is prone to overheating. Even though no components feel hot, it is always after a good amount of activity that the enclosure begins to act up. Tested with multiple drives from multiple...
