NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THIS MACHINE, I have answers

People have complaints everywhere about these machines. I am here to defend the etower 366c with a couple of simple upgrades that you can do on your own. First... If your running that dumn Cyrix MII processor, just change it to a AMD K6 the ...

?????

One of my relatives bought an eTower 366c a few years ago, and all their having is problems. I'll see if I can name all of the defects.... First, their modem has either gone bad or was defective or whatever and has gone bad within a month or so....

Maybe the Hard drive

Everything. Modem, power supply, fans, etc

A Handyman's Delight.

I got this eTower 366 through my job at Sears. It was thought by myself and the other salesmen that all it needed was a new power supply and no one wanted it. So I bought it for $100. After much searching, I found an after-market power supply on eBay...

Runs smoother than most PCs I've owned

It's a fixer-upper. The Power Supply and the Modem are the worst parts

Not as sturdy as the price

The E-Machine. Strong, Fast, and Dependable. All trademarks that you would expect to find from any company promoting their computer or even their car. But the truth of the matter is, what you pay is what you get. Hardware is hardware right? Wrong!...

Cheap

Faulty Hardware

You Get What You Pay For

Customer service is not very helpful. My modem was defective and they told me that I had to buy a new one even though I just got my computer. I had to send the computer back three times to get a replacement. The computer crashes and freezes a lot....

Cheap and works well considering what you paid for

Crashes at times, slow, and not a lot of hard drive space

Gets the job Done

I bought my Emachines 366 in March of 2000. The first thing I did was amp up the processor by installing an AMD K62-450 ($75.00). This helped out the lack of speed that the computer came with. The system came with 32MB of RAM, and I have added...

Great Price

Somewhat Slow performance as-is

My experience on eMachine

I bought this eTower 10 months ago. Yes, it is an old model today, but I believe many things have not been changed today.

cheap, fit the basic requirements of most students

Got to change or add many parts, very poor service

366ID Rocks. Period.

WOW! A computer cheap and effective. My 366ID has been working PERFECTLY for 2 months now. Its fast and does its job. There are some small problems. The Modem is NOT the best. So if you buy one, or any emachine, GET A NEW MODEM! I did, and it works...

Fast, Cheap, Good Looking, DVD Drive

Modem is not the best, could use a boost in RAM

Shady eMachine practices

I bought an eMachine 6 months ago. I am now waiting for my fourth replacement computer. When I had sent my first one back, they had guaranteed me a new computer, but they only send back "used, refurbished" ones. My third replacement...

Just what I needed!

I am very surprised to see all of the negative reviews of this e-machines computer. I got mine for free by signing up for 3 years of internet access and consider it to have been a very good investment. I get internet access at $19.95 per month with...

Inexpensive, effective

Not fully upgrade capable
