eMachines T3626 review: eMachines T3626

eMachines T3626

Most fully featured PC for the dollar (counting the rebate); reasonably good-looking desktop; room for internal expansion.

Single-core CPU incurs a major performance drop-off compared with dual-core in most modern programs; 160GB hard drive will fill up quickly with digital photos and music.

They don't call them budget PCs for nothing. If price is your first concern, the eMachines T3626 seems to offer the best computing deal for the money, but only thanks to its $50 rebate. If you can stand to spend $400 or more, you can get substantially...

Excellent for the price!

I also found a couple of loose MB screws rattling around, like the other reviewers stated. The MB was firmly anchored, but it's strange they would not screw in all the screws. Great system for the price though.

Great computer if you want something you can upgrade in the future. Plenty of options for upgrading the CPU, power supply, etc. Also it's very inexpensive. The card reader is nice too

All the junk programs pre-installed on it! But it's easy enough to get rid of. Also, Vista is okay, but formatting and installing XP might not be a bad idea

Great Price

For some reason i got an Amd Athlon 64 Processor 3800+, Comes with an ecs motherboard, samsung 1gb dual channel ram, Seagate 160gb hard drive. and 6100 Nvidia onboard graphics.

GREAT PRICE!!!!!!! VERY CHEAP!!!!! Almost no scratches when it arrived even though its refurbished. Very clean inside. Great components mentioned in other thoughts. Very quiet, almost no noise

Slow with Windows Vista unless you free up bloatware and turn off windows aero and sidebar. Re-installation of Windows Vista isn't nessecery. Doesn't Come with a case fan

Very Happy

I bought this machine mostly to make the change from XP to Vista and I just gotta say I love my new pc.There's little more maintenance to Vista but other than that the pc it's self is great, I'm thinking of buying another one

My Bad

This is my second machine for the kids (two separate purchases). I previously stated that I kept the recovery partition out there in case I wanted to install Vista at a later date. This partition is not needed. I used partition magic and deleted it and...

Kids Computer

Add ram. Look into an inexpensive dedicated video solution if the computer is going to be used for games. Mine came with a few cosmetic scratches, no big deal. Inside of the case was clean and tight, with everything where it should be. Really an...

Amazing value - lots of bang for the buck here, even if you need to add/upgrade a few components ; Vista install disks included ; Great for young kids or light duty tasks ; DVD Burner ; Media Reader ; It's been quite stable

This computer would scream under XP, but it's borderline with Vista. Once you turn off Aero and Sidebar however, performance is acceptable ; Only two ram slots means that you'll need to replace both sticks it comes with ; Onboard Video - while better...

Recertified: eMachines T3626 - RA Sempron 3800+ 1GB DDR2 160GB NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Windows Vista Home Premium

160 HD, 1 gig, nvidia, price

They didnt send the right power cable for the back, luckily i had one extra from another computer, the front cover was kinda loose and off, and one of the pci slots in the back was dented in, but overall pretty good pc for the price

Great value if you want to tweak it

After the XP install I could not find the XP chipset drivers, but for once letting Windows try to automatically detect and download them worked. I think they may be generic, but I was unable to find anything but Vista drivers on the emachines website.

After doing a fresh XP Pro install I'm very pleased with it. It's quiet, easy to open the case, and inside it's tight. I would not recommend this as a *good* Vista computer, but it wasn't too bad when I tried it. I did not attempt to clean up the Vista...

As many others have said, one of the screws for anchoring the MB was rattling around in the case! I checked all other screws and cards and they were all properly seated. And again, I think this machine is much more suited for XP than Vista and that...

Poor Quality Control

Machines need better inspections to be certified before being shipped.

Good price; fast shipping as always from Newegg

This is the second T3626 I ordered for my business. The first one arrived looking like new. We liked it so much that we decided to order a second one to replace another machine that worked but that was a bit dated ; This machine was a bit scratched up...
