eMachines T5274

The T5274 is a good deal for budget-minded people looking for a starter system or a basic second PC.

The price is right. Solid performance on typical day-to-day tasks. Respectable Photoshop score for a value PC.

Poor speakers/sound. Ball mouse. Crapware abounds. Only 60 days of Norton 360. Feeble 3D performance.

eMachines T5274

A better deal than most budget PCs available from major online vendors.

In-store desktop deals offer more for the money.

With stiff competition from other sub-$400 PCs, eMachines' T5247 has a hard time standing out. It will certainly serve as a basic productivity system, but other desktops will help you stretch your computer dollar even further.
