Worth the money

Added 2 gigs memory and ordered much larger hard drive. Ordered on monday and received on tuesday of this week. Fast delivery in Calif.

HP, serial drives, 4 memory slots, some expanability. Ran the first time started and still running. Six usb ports and gigibyte. Nice little computer

pretty nice..

I recently bought two of these and I am very happy with my purchase, no problems with either as of yet. I've stuck with Samsung since my first purchase almost 2 years ago of their SATA version and I've used it like crazy, burning DVD's and music CD's...

very happy with the quality and value of system. Extremely quiet and cool running. still new time will tell how dependable and durable this system holds up

Be ready for problems

In the end, it's all working, but much time wasted chasing drivers from the HP site that either didn't work or were the wrong ones for the chipset on this mobo. Doing a GIS for "HP dx2450" and "nvidia drivers" got me to a blog entry linking to the...

Not loaded down with preinstalled crapware, basic build quality seems decent. Came installed with XP Pro so no need to downgrade. Vista Biz media included. Price and the usual quick Newegg service very good

Some features didn't work properly, such as the network card. No info on HP tech support site as far as specific nVidia chipset information. Some drivers provided were flat out wrong (audio and network), or incomplete (PCI Bridge). Built-in restore...

Don't Do This to Yourself

The included USB interface card reader shorted out causing me to loose all USB functionality. Including my laser keyboard mouse set up. Reinstalling all drivers manually was a pain. The HP software and copy of xp pro was buggy. The driver updates...

Seems like a simple enough machine. Purchased two for peer networking in small office. Was as advertised. I just wanted in office backup for my tablet PC. Good speed

I have invested likely 24 productive hours to try to get this thing to run correctly. I reformatted hard disk twice. HP support is not helpful

Almost Okay!

And now if it goes back and NewEgg does not hear the HUM, I have to pay for the shipping. Not possible these days. It is not a bad machine, but the noise is madding....

I purchased this item as what I thought was a "good for the price" option when I need to replace my old desktop. By in large I have been happy. All the power I need and runs all my add on with little trouble. Lots of data input options. Love XP. All...
