HP Pavilion p6310y review: HP Pavilion p6310y

HP Pavilion p6310y

Decent performance for the price; organized interior with room for upgrades.

Lacks wireless networking; Gateway gives you faster performance for less money.

The HP Pavilion p6310y is a midtower desktop computer with average performance coupled with a disappointing set of features. Sure, it can handle low-demand processing, but we recommend the Gateway DX4831-01e over it. The Gateway is a faster computer...

HP Pavilion p6310f

With quad-core power, the HP Pavilion p6310f is aimed squarely at people trying to buy a faster PC that's not too expensive.

Nice price. Quad core power. 1TB drive. Expandability.

Only 60-day subscription to Internet Security updates. No eSATA. Lots of bloatware.

HP Pavilion p6310y and the Dell Inspiron i560-4000NBK

Today we'll be looking at two desktops in the $600 range, the HP Pavilion p6310y and the Dell Inspiron i560-4000NBK. While neither one of them offers outstanding performance, both are decent computers that should cope well with most users' everyday needs.

A 15-in-1 media reader is also on board for when you need to transfer data quickly from other digital devices. The reader supports various formats such as Memory Sticks and SD cards. There is no integrated Wi-Fi on the p6310y, so you will either have...

UPDATE: Great Computer But It has issues

UPDATE: Its a great computer with my nice features. But after having them (I have 7 for my office) for a year and a half I have had one issue. The Graphics card "Nvidia Geforce 9100" is integrated on the board which is not normally a problem. But the...

What I was looking for, but...

If I would have paid attention, I should have just built a PC because within a year and a bit I will have replaced the PSU, added a GPU, gotten a faster HDD, replaced the mobo, and replaced the computer case as it looks sharp but ahs horrible...

This computer is super fast of the price. It has plenty of HDD and 6gigs of memory! awesome! I got it on sale with the intention of replacing the PSU and the GPU. I did both of those and I am very happy....but

So first of all, it came with a5400rpm HDD...unfortunatly slow...however I should have realized that as it was in the specs. Second and most frustrating, HP mother bords are "locked" and cannot be overclocked ; I didn't realize this, and frankly knew...

Awesome

if you looking to upgrade the first thing on your list is a power supplie, then graphics card, and then an AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3.0GHz haha.

Windows 7- first time user, the best OS so far for me ; The built in graphics arnt to bad it runs like gmod ,counter strike ,battle field 2 pretty much any valve game. l4d2 is a little sketchy but it runs ; the keyboard and mouse are pretty slim and...

there are like 4 programs that come with it like norton virus suite and stuff like that ; well the power supplie is to low to upgrade anything so i got a 550w and now i cant use the dvd drive because it wont reach . very weird setup
