good balance of components and price

 

I bought this computer in mid-July 2007 for home use, which includes limited business use. Small case fits neatly on the desk beside the monitor. I was pleasantly surprised (I guess I didn't remember all the specs) to find it equipped with a tv card...

It takes a while to delete all the @#$% adware that comes pre-loaded. Typical Microsoft - Windows Vista has all the features in different menus than XP, which makes it a pain

H-P s3120n Slimline

 

Having extended service plan doesn't help since it comes in after the manufacturers warranty runs out. In home service means nothing if they don't have any parts.

Smaller size and low noise level. Excellent speed and performance at a decent price

Reliability is terrible. MB failed in about 30 days. H-P has no replacement MB's and no idea when they will. Many calls to H-P's foreign support people results in a 'sorry about your luck' but nothing more. After a month and still no spares (they pick...

May be a good PC, but definitely is a bad DVR.

 

I received this unit a week ago and have put at least 40 hours into it to get it tolerable. Since I still have issues, I can only comment on what I think the problems are, but impression is that the problems are mostly SW related. I have had over 4 ...
