Awesome little machine!!!

Please know what you are buying upfront. Do your home work and do a little research. So for all you complainer's out there that feel deprived, SHAME ON YOU!!!! This is a quality built entry level machine with albeit limited upgrade capabilities. Memory...

Upgrade from an old tired Dell T105 server that ran WHS 2003, now running WHS 2008. Found the 2.5" bay added a Crucial SSD as boot drive and have 2T built-in for data/backup storage. Stayed w/original 8G ram but will probably upgrade in future. Thing...

None so far, wish I had thought to buy an extra or 2 as you just can't find a deal like this around (even approaching BLACK FRIDAY)

Great Budget Builds

I've been passively looking for a computer to use as a home server for about a year. When I saw this deal, I couldn't resist. The parts included cost about $480, even on good Newegg deals. I bought this for under $330, and it was an absolute steal. The...

OK, there were a few things I didn't like with this refurb, but nothing that would dissuade me from buying again. They are as follows ; It would be nice if it came with the cage for the hard drives and you could optionally remove it like I have with...

Good Value Some Limitations

I'm giving it five stars to compensate for some two star reviews, if not for those I'd probably give it four. It's a good machine for what it is, a prebuilt value system from a major manufacturer. It _should_ have two sticks of RAM but that's not a...

Great "bang for the buck" system. A8 is pretty fast. Integrated R7 video is pretty fast for light gaming. Works well with Windows 10 technical preview. Does have a 2.5" bay for an SSD

Build quality isn't great. Limited expandability. Should have 2 sticks of RAM. A lot of work to "downgrade" to Windows 7

Don't bother

This would be OK with at least 2 additional 3.5" drive bays. I will never buy a pre-built PC again and certainly not an HP-branded product.

Motherboard has 4 memory slots (DDR3). Makes it easy to get to the 32 gig max memory with 4 8-gig dimms.

Tower case has just 1 3.5" drive bay, a design flaw. The motherboard has 6 SATA ports. This is plain bad design. Windows 8.1 is loaded with the usual bloatware.

Excellent Workstation

Great value on a speedy and quick PC. This PC works as well for any student, family, or even an office. Obviously if you are running CAD or large desktop publishing files you are going to understandably spend more. But for most folks, this PC will more...

Very quiet. You hardly know it is turned on ; Small footprint ; Fast boot ; Wireless and Gigabit Ethernet ; 64 bit OS ; 2 TB hard drive (drive spins down to save energy when not in use) ; Fast in general ; Qualifies for the free upgrade to Windows 10...

Win 8.1 (on a positive note, it qualifies for the free upgrade to Windows 10 when released later this year) ; keyboard and mouse are kinda cheap feeling, but work fine. I replaced them with a wireless set ; No serial port to plug in my UPS monitoring...
