Service and support

iBuyPower Gamer Extreme PC

Original front-panel design; great Logitech speakers; versatile video in/out capability.

Decidedly geeky case design; cheap DVD-ROM drive with stuttery playback; poor PCI slot management; components screwed in despite tool-free assembly.

There's more to the affordable iBuyPower Gamer Extreme PC than meets the eye, but upgraders and movie watchers should look to either a more powerful system or a better bargain.

Showing that Prescott really has a future as a volume part, the iBuyPower Gamer Extreme PC comes in at a likable $1,995 (direct) price.

Still, there's a lot here to like. And this affordable system is covered by a warranty that does not feel like a cutback: three years, with on-site service included for the first year.
