Great HTPC

I ended up denting the case when I dropped it, so I drilled some holes in it to improve cooling. It didn't make a huge difference, so I just decided to leave the cover off and now the fan rarely makes any noise. So, if you don't mind the aesthetics,...

Great little htpc. Mine is set up with a kingston SSD, 2gb RAM, Stardock dual hard drive dock, and IOgear keyboard

Fan used to be loud until

Jetway Mini-Top Atom Dual-Core 525 NVIDIA ION2 with WiFi /Remote Control Mini Barebone

While I'm sure speed could be helped by maxxing out the RAM and adding an SSD, in stock form, the slowness is acceptable. I play 720p mkvs over the network (wired) without issue. I don't have any issues streaming netflix or hulu HD. I do have it hooked...

Small and powerful enough, decently priced. The remote funtionality is surprisingly good

Noisy when the fan spins up. The buttons on the remote like to stick a lot, especially the mouse directional pad

Great little box

This is a great little HTPC. I'm new to this arena and got up to speed really quick. I installed XBMCLive and had nothing but problems. I then found OpenELEC.tv and wow, installed it off a USB stick to a 320GB HDD in under 15 seconds (really it was...

Small ; Quiet (yes, it is quiet after boot up) ; Lots of connection options ; Large memory capacity (4GB) ; Got the free 320GB HDD and 2GB memory

None really, jsut some observations ; Cover is a little flimsey but not difficult to remove at all. I don't know what the other are talking about. You just have to be gentle ; Front cover is really flimsey but how often are you going to use it really?...

Great for Ubuntu/XBMC

I dropped 2-GB of RAM, a 320-GB HDD & Ubuntu 10.10 (64-bit) on it. With the help of a few other reviewers, I got the audio through HDMI working. (Sort by "Ubuntu" and look for a review from "Matt" on 1/2/2011 @ 8:22:17 PM. There are a few other people...

Quiet, very small footprint, has a remote, HDMI, "green," wireless, etc

Nothing to really speak of.... You can't really complain about speed when it's using this type of technology. I didn't really like the way it comes apart for the HDD & RAM installation but that's not enough to take away from the score

Great Entry Level PC/HTPC

Threw in a 150gb sata drive from out of my MBP and 2.5gb old memory. I put Win7 x64 pro on it. Runs with no problems at all. I had to search for the right setup to play 1080p since VLC and CCCP wouldn't work beyond 720. CoreAVC plays 1080p mkv content...

Newer Ion GPU ; Attractive case ; HDMI with audio out ; 1080p playback ; Using PocketCloud on Android (Nexus One and Nook Color[rooted]) & VLC as my mouse and keyboard along with MCE remote

You will have to search for the right codec or driver setup depending on your OS. This could be difficult for non-tech users

Works Great

used a SSD to reduce some of the heat in the box Access a majority of content through the network

Small ; Efficient ; Good HTPC

Fan can be a little loud ; Runs a little hot ; Drivers and Support seem a little bleh ; Both sections are lacking in my opinion from one of the larger companies ; Wireless N is only 150 ; Front Cover thing is flimsy ; Doesnt appear to sleep/hibernate...
