Lenovo Horizon 2 review

Is this the ultimate family entertainment all-in-one PC?

Impressive 27-inch touchscreen ; Doubles as tabletop tablet PC ; Performs well

Heats up over time ; Stunted software limits accessories ; Awkward buttons

Although the ability to lay flat might seem a bit gimmicky, the Lenovo Horizon 2 backs it up with powerful hardware and good performance, even though its software makes poor use of its capabilities.

Lenovo Horizon 2

The Lenovo Horizon 2 touch-screen all-in-one desktop has a 27-inch full HD display and a battery that allows you to move it from room to room while it's powered up.

Anti-glare screen cuts reflections. HDMI-in port.

Colors appear dull on display. Only 2 hours of battery life. No SD card slot. Speakers a little low for a larger room. Keyboard and mouse dongle takes up a USB 3.0 port.

The Lenovo Horizon 2 is a portable system that needs to have its power cable handy at all times. Sure, it has one of the largest screens on a portable all-in-one desktop, but it will still tie you down. The Dell XPS 18 (1820) remains our Editors...

Lenovo Horizon 2 Review and Ratings

Lenovo's Horizon 2 is an attractive, futuristic desktop/"table PC" with a large screen and unique features. But this configuration is hampered by a slow hard drive. And don't expect more than two to three hours of battery life.

Attractive, innovative design ; Bright, matte 27-inch touch screen looks good standing up or lying flat

No solid-state storage in this model ; Frequently feels sluggish, likely due to slow hard drive ; Brief battery life

The Lenovo Horizon 2 is an impressive-looking all-in-one with some uniquely appealing features. It's also impressively thin, although at 16 pounds with no convenient carrying handle, it's not effortless to tote from room to room.
