Lenovo IdeaCentre B540

The Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 ($899 list) is a moderately priced touch-screen all-in-one desktop PC with a decent, if unremarkable, feature set. For about $900, you get a full touch-screen Windows 8 experience on a nicely equipped, nicely designed system....

Touch screen. Nice price. No external power brick. Easy to service

No DX11 due to older Intel HD Graphics 2000. Could use more tilt range. USB 3.0 ports in back. Only HDMI-out. No Blu-ray

The Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 all-in-one PC is one of the less expensive ways to get a true Windows 8 experience with a large screen. You do give up a little compared to more expensive all in ones, but it's still a decent buy all the same.

Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 Review and Ratings

The sleek, minimalist design of the Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 is a pleasure to look at, and the 23-inch touch screen lets Windows 8's strengths shine. Better yet, behind the big, bright display lurks a fairly powerful PC with loads of features for the price.

Handsome design ; Huge 1080p touch screen ; A good deal for $899

So-so keyboard ; No Blu-ray player ; No DirectX 11 graphics ; No HDMI input

The IdeaCentre B540 comes with a basic software bundle, which is fair given the price. Lenovo includes a bunch of kids' games among the preloaded Windows 8 live tiles. Some are cute, some are educational, and all of them will help children get used to...

Love it

I received this as a birthday gift. The shipping was quick - next day, the product is amazing, the style works and the sale price was right. The sound needs some work, but overall, the product as well as the customer service from Lenovo is wonderful.

The Lenovo B540 is easily the best computer I've ever owned. I'm a full time student (web based courses), moderate photo editor, amateur painter, and creative writer. The gorgeous screen makes the virtual conferences of graduate school a joy to attend....
