Not a plug and play computer

By using a generic Win 7 install disc, one can reinstall Windows and select the Home premium version, thus allowing the sticker that came with the computer to allow activation. But that did not solve the fan problem or the later video display failing...

Cheap, sufficient for small office cubicle work

The computer came with Windows 7 Pro installed; however the activation sticker was for a Win 7 Home premium edition. Easy fix. BUT Every time this computer goes into sleep mode, it crashes, causing the CPU fans to run at their highest setting, and...

You Get What You Pay For, But That's Not a Bad Thing.

The computer functions in the most basic, slow manner, which is to be expected. Considering it was purchased as a cheapo, quick fix replacement for a gaming desktop that croaked, I really can not complain. It was purchased simply to fill the gap for...

Definitely a bargain in a pinch. The price of a replacement hard drive for a refurbished desktop including mouse, keyboard and shipping is certainly a great deal. The product arrived quickly and was packed very well. Everything is functional

The product functions as expected, but nothing more. This is not really a "con" considering the price point, but I had hoped it might surprise me

Be sure to upgrade the BIOS.

I got the cousin to this system at another Brick & Mortar for the same $74.99 but only because I had a PROMO code. It was core 2 duo instead of Dual Core and DDR2 instead of DDR3 and 80 Gig instead of 160. But for a inexpensive replacement for someone...

Simple, cheap system with Windows 7 for a friend that clings onto her beloved 10 year old Windows XP box. Compact and not too noisy. Has 4 slots and so can be upgraded to 4 or 8 Gig. For the price of a Windows 7 upgrade you get more. Decent hard drive...

Trailing Edge. Need I say more? Very compact tight case no room for add-ons. Only 2 SATA ports plus one eSata. No PS/2 ports so you either need to discard you PS/2 keyboard and mouse or get a PS/2 to USB adapter

Second Look

Initially I use Adata 2Gb X 4 which works fine. I also tried Hyper X Kingstons 4Gb since upgrade to Win 10, and pairs work fine, 2 or 4 sticks. Either show 6-6-6-15-1t timings. And they now show at 800 same as the FSB. The battery is something I rarely...

Since the upgrade to Win 10 Pro 64 (FREE), It has the ability to use 4 Gb sticks of ram. (Just FYI)

There was a normal learning curve with a new machine after loading a new O/S ; But the bugs turned out to be a low Bios battery ; Just keep that in mind in case their (Joy Systems) tray had some duds in it

Great for a few months

Really wish it were more reliable because when it worked, it worked well.

Other reviews hit the nails on the head

After 6 months in an office where it is used as a workstation it would have issues turning on after going into standby so we disabled that and just left it powered on during the week ; Today, just under 8 months after receiving the computer, it won't...

Add memory and watch it fly.

E5700 dual core Intel, @ 3 Ghz. Motherboard says it will accept Core 2 Quad's also, up to 1333 fsb. New looking WD250 hdd, with restore partition, that works! No dust or residual tells it had been used. 4 memory slots, easy to fill. (DDR3) Defaults to...

This has been a real adventure ; The memory will work well up to "2 gb" sticks x 4 = 8 gb, any other configuration was problematic ; It required the initial boot from the restore partition ; Enter the key and run updates ; I did use Macrium Reflect...

Needed to start from Restore partition, could has been a fluke, I tried additional memory configurations before starting

Well It was cheap!

Avoid this company at all costs! Run-Away! Stay Away!!!

Cheap price, decent components, prior good experiences with this refurbisher

Out of the box the ram was causing beeping and a non-boot. Reseated Ram, system now boots. When in OS... I find that the 2TB HDD is not formatted in a manner that is acceptable to me. C:/ is only 72 GB, and F:/ is 1920GB, And the Recovery Partition is...

Great performer

Really just a great overall PC at a low price point. Good for use as a secondary PC, HTPC, or media server. We bought it as the daily driver for our lower level employees, but I find myself running tasks on it when they're not around to offload work...

Small form factor, commercial grade internal design, decent components, expandable PCIx ports, VGA + display port for dual head, eSata for easy external storage expansion

Only con might be that it's capped at 4GB ram, definitely wouldn't go for a 2GB version, but the 4GB is sufficient for a moderate load

Lenovo M58 Quad - Refurb (followup to previous post)

This is a BTX motherboard, ( something Intel designed then abandoned). The CPU fan is the only fan other than the PS for cooling. Using the display port and/or adding a video card will make this fan scream. The BIOS is old and has no fan settings. I...

It's a good bang for the buck despite its flaws. Core2Quad, Win7 Pro 64bit, Intel chip-set.Machine has relatively quick response after tweaking ; The Intel chip set is more suited for a laptop than this desk top. ( Change the Intel Q43-45 chip set...

1st unit DOA (RMA'd.). The replacement took almost 3 weeks. (New Egg would not replace until RMA was inspected.) . It had a terrible Internet lag ; BTX CPU/motherboard. The CPU fan idles @ about 600 RPM
