Mio A702

Mio's A702 GPS all-in-one GPS, phone and PDA device follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the [[prodid:2664]], but adds a few improvements into...

Loud, clear speaker for navigation; 3.2-megapixel camera; microSD slot; improves connectivity over previous model; emergency locator; addition of Wi-Fi

Slower processor causes lag between menu screens, still no 3G support, average route calculation

There have been some good improvements to the Mio A702 over its predecessor, the A701, and while the navigation wasn't overly effective, it is a hybrid device and can't be expected to do everything perfectly.

Mio DigiWalker A702

It works well as a GPS navigator but, as a phone, the slow responses and awful text messaging really let the A702 down.

Pleasing looks ; Works well as a GPS

Number pad layout ; Atrocious texting ; Screen difficult to see on sunny days

Overall If you want a good GPS system with a phone and you're definitely going to be using the GPS on a regular basis -- be honest now -- then the A702 is a good bet. However, its odd keypad layout, slow responses and woeful texting ability make it a...

Don't really agree with the CNET review. I much prefer to text using the stylus so the keypad texting issues do not concern me. Have installed Spd mobile shell which improves its usability by 100%. The GPS is fantastic I now have one device for...

WIFI ; GPS ; Spd shell purchased seperately improves user interface

Lag ; battery Life

Brought this phone in February. Wasn't as easy as I thought to use, though I am used to it now. Clip broke for the stylus pen, so now I am always paranoid that I'm going to lose it. It stuffs up at the wrong times, and works when it wants to work....

Fit's 1000's of text ; Camera good ; GPS great ; Has everything I need ; Etc

Delay for calls ; Keys suck for text ; Batter doesn't last long ; Stylus pen and clip broke ; Stuffs up alot when searching for contacts seeing it's duplicated them a dozen times.. EACH

Love the phone, concerned about support network - logged support inquiry over a week ago and got no response (state that they will get back to you in one working day). Enough of my gripes though. It's a great Swiss army knife of a device, runs a bit...

Form factor - perfect considering what is crammed in ; It's a bit fussy about microSDHC support (Kingston 4GB doesn't work) - others do though ; Comes with all the accessories I need ; Easy recharging straight from USB port

A bit slow but usable ; Doesn't run PALMOS - ok I'm one of the few that's a con for

Got the phone in September when it first came out.. it's not too bad but there could be a lot of improvements. Battery only lasts 24hrs so got a second and seperate charger number pad is useless for txting but handy for finding phone numbers quickly....

Good as GPS with TOMTOM. Easy To get new software. Recommend Threaded SMS for trio and Touchpad for txting.. SD Card expansion.

Speaker Broke. Paint scratches easily. 2.5 mm head phone jack. Battery lasts 24hrs. usless keypad for txting. No Upgrade to WM6.1!!!
