MSI Wind Top AE2010 review

It has a 20-inch single-touch display, Windows 7, and 4GB of memory; it ditches the Atom CPU for a 1.5GHz Athlon X2 Dual-Core 3250e processor; and the MSI Wind Top AE2010 is among the best-performing budget all-in-one PCs (20-inches or smaller) we've...

MSI's Wind Top AE2010 does a great job of filling the gap between budget all-in-one systems and flashier big-screen all-in-one PCs (over 20 inches) that we've tested. Minus the slightly questionable picture quality, it's hard to find many faults with...

MSI Wind Top AE2010 All-in-One PC

MSI's Wind Top AE2010 ($650, as of December 8, 2009) is one of our favorite new budget all-in-one PCs. It has a 20-inch single-touch display, Windows 7, and 4GB of memory; it ditches the Atom CPU for a 1.5GHz Athlon X2 Dual-Core 3250e processor; and it...

Single-touch touchscreen ; Strong general performance for its price

Reflective glossy screen coating ; 4GB RAM without 64-bit OS

MSI's Wind Top AE2010 does a great job of filling the gap between budget-minded all-in-one PCs, and flashier big screen models.

MSI Wind Top AE2010

The touch-sensitive MSI Wind Top AE2010 is faster than your average nettop, but falls short of its potential.

All-in-one touchscreen PC. VESA mount and wall mount adapters included. VGA in and out. eSATA port.

Touch sensitivity is finicky. Only 60-day subscription to Norton Internet Security. Pricey for a nettop. Lots of bloatware.

Review: MSI Wind Top AE2010

MSI's latest single-serving PC makes some strides in the power department, but not in its price.

Internal upgrades finally give this all-in-one enough oomph to merit serious consideration, especially at this price. Great quality screen. Packs in four USB ports and one eSATA port

Screen is slightly dimmer than prior model. Cheap keyboard and mouse bundle. Leather trim on frame looks downright silly

MSI Wind Top AE2010-02SUS Review and Ratings

MSI's 20-inch AMD-powered all-in-one PC is noticeably snappier than an Atom-powered nettop and a good deal at $649. It can act as a primary PC, though it can't handle Hulu video.

Dual-core CPU, 4GB RAM make it much more capable than a nettop ; Large touch screen for media navigation ; Graphics enable light 3D gaming and HD video playback still stutters, despite more powerful CPU ; 32-bit OS can’t access all RAM ; Touch interface still unpolished

MSI Wind Top AE2010 AIO Desktop System

Desktop computers are making a resurgence, and have exploited the compact nature of newer technology to provide the best of both worlds. Netbooks are the popular item for travelers, but they don't get the job done for full time workers and students....

20-Inch Touch-Screen LCD Panel ; AMD Athlon X2 dual-core 3250e Processor ; 4GB of DDR2 SoDIMM System Memory ; ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU with 128MB DDR3 vRAM ; Wireless-N and Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity ; Free Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade ; DVD...

Lacks DVI and HDMI Video Output ; Does Not Offer Internal Component Access ; 5400 RPM Hard Drive Slows Reaction Time

For my Father

5 Eggs. The price fits the product. The product feels like you should of paid more for it.

Great Bang for the buck ; Ez installation ; Tons of multimedia features ; I purchased when it dropped under $400 ; I couldnt build or find a AIO or full desktop that had 20" screen/4gbmemory/dualcore/4-1 readers for the same price w/o going to auction...

Didnt come with stylus pen, contacted newegg after shipment arrived, they forwarded my request to the manufacturer, then MSI sent me a new pen :) ; Had 109 windows updates. (not a personal witnessed record, but geez) ; o yeah, cheap keyboard and mouse...

Using for home entertainment

We use this computer in our home entertainment system. It's hooked to a 42" 1080p LCD TV. Finding a touch screen computer with a video out was much more difficult than I thought it should be. Overall I'm satisfied with this computer. It's works great...

This model has all of the I/O ports we needed ; Included wall mount adapter kit ; MSI Wind Touch control program not perfect, but functional ; Touch screen responsive ; Monitor on/off switch

32bit OS ; ATI HD 3200 Graphics somewhat lackluster. I'm well aware of the limitations of an integrated graphics card. We needed this card to stream from Hulu, NetFlix, etc and it struggles. I'm not noticing much difference compared to the Intel X3000...
