Shuttle XPC SB86i

I think it's fair to say that I had a go at the BTX form factor back in March, when I was asked to evaluate the Intel press kit for BTX. Comprising an AOpen chassis, picoBTX LGA775 mainboard and a BTX Type 1 Stacked Fin Thermal Module, I was drawn to...

When the SB86i was announced, I had the thought that if anyone has the expertise to do BTX right in a small form factor system, which is the one of the reasons BTX was created, that Shuttle do. Masters of the diminuitive PC, Shuttle rarely put a foot...

Shuttle's XPC SB86i mini-barebones system

SHUTTLE HAS PUSHED the limits of small form factor design more than any...

Shuttle's new i-Series chassis is full of good ideas, including dampened hard drive trays, adjustable LEDs, clean cable routing, and BTX compatibility. BTX has caught a lot of flak from the enthusiast community, perhaps because it's incompatible with...

Almost worked. ;)

This was suppose to be an xmas gift for my son. I RMA'd it but Newegg misplaced it. I called them 5 days later (Dec 26th) and they finally found it, but then they realized that it was out of stock and they refunded my money. Time to look for a new...

Looks good with home theater system. Nice features

Onboard sound produced pops and crackling when playing audio. Tried 2 separate sound cards and same thing happened. Shuttle told me to return it due to it being defective

It works

There are 2 channels on the IDE ribbon so you really dont need to buy a SATA drive if you dont need to. Also when doing a fresh install of XP make sure to remove the usb header to the card reader as it may make your primary drive F or some other letter...

Everything works. Takes apart easy. Pretty low on the noise

The white front looks so cheap. The pictures make it look very crisp and clean. But when you get it it looks like tupperware ; Oh wells... it works

bios is very complete and lets u control eveerything from the speed of the fans to how much light the front gives off. recommeneded. i was able to fit a an xfx 6600 without any ind of space issues, also happuage on the pci slot.

I built this shuttle almost 6 months ago so this is an honest review. This is my first shuttle (I build at least 3 pc'cs/year) and I can recommennd it. Not a single problem. It is used everyday as a mce05 pvr, works very well

only thing i didnt like is that the onboard video wasnt able to handle tv. my gf doesn't like to leave it on overnigth cause she says the psu fan is a little loud, but i guarantee u its not bad at all. I sleep with a much louder pc on, this is quiet

No issues with this system, been using it every day for just over 6 months - I guess some folks just had bad luck with theirs ; Running with 3.0GhzEMT64/1Gb RAM/Seagate 250GbSATA - been my crash and burn system - it's run RHEL, Win2k3-64Bit, XP Pro...

Loud!!

Overall great product, its fast and affordable. plus its only a matter of time before they fix the usb issue.

Easy to assemble and very stylish. Great audio sound and has plenty of room to navigate wires and add on cards

Loud, it locks up when you boot up with something plugged into the side usb ports
