As long as you dont hit 24/7 100% cpu and gpu load in a high ambient temperature environment this is a great SFF setup, and even if you do there are options available to suit you.

Not the first shuttle ive owned and a good machine out of the box. Stock fans and fan settings have it fairly quiet just browsing the web/light gaming. CPU heatsink mounting holes are standard intel 1155 so you can explore other options down the road ;...

Power supply, I give shuttle big props here for upping the wattage from 300 to 500w and increasing the fan diameter from 40 to 60mm, making it able to support modern dual slot video cards with high power requirements ; However as I run my CPU and video...

Re: Seems to be a good VMware learning platform

I previously wrote that the SZ68R5 does not support VT-d. I was mistaken. My 2700K was the problem. Intel K chips does not support VT-d. I downgraded to a 2600. Use caution when you remove the CPU radiator! My system did not have a sturdy CPU socket...

See my previous post. This is an excellent product. I'm using it as a VMWare learning workstation. It fully supports Intel VT-d technology

There are no significant cons. You get a lot of bang for the buck

Terrible Quality Control

Great box, good hardware, beefy PSU. Runs quietly with a 65w CPU and integrated graphics

Terrible quality control. Out of 20 or so that i have ordered, 3 have had damaged LGA pins, 4 have had severely bent USB 3 internal headers, and 1 had a broken off southbridge heatsink. I have spent more time fixing the machines that arrived with...

I returned this and built a micro atx system with a quiet PSU

nice small form factor, ICE cooling system, Z68 chipset

noisy PSU fan makes silent ICE cooling system obsolete ; front is designed very cheaply, power button is behind a plastic/alu front panel. drive flap is flimsy, that's the first thing that will break off ; I wonder what design amateurs work at shuttle...

Fast and Quiet, easy build

Good value. Small enough to sit on the desk or as a HTC ; Lots of usb ports front and back ; onboard video with adjustable memory footprint (setting in bios) ; Roomy enough for most video cards (check support list) I got a GTX570 in there. It was not...

One PCI-E 16x port, and not enough room for a second PCI-E device ; It can take a little trial and error to position your optical drive properly so the case button hits the button on the drive. Case button itself is a bit flimsy ; The front USB 3.0...
