Shuttle XPC SB81P - SFF Barebone System

If you're a returning reader you might have noticed the glaring omission of any Shuttle XPC reviews on TrustedReviews (bar the Mesh CubeX64+ system of course). This is not because we don't like Shuttle, quite the contrary in fact, but we have had a bit...

Shuttle XPC SB81P: Loaded 775 BTX | silentpcreview.com

SFFTech looks at the SD37P2, which combines the new P2 chassis with a Core 2 compatible motherboard. The product is interesting in that it is the first SFF to support the Conroe core, but despite SFFTech's assurance that the SD37P2 "is very quiet and...

If all the loud fans could somehow be quieted, the motherboard does provide a decent range of options for a quiet system. A full range of undervolting and underclocking is supported, and the fan controller seems to be fairly effective. It is even...

Shuttle SB81P Small Form-Factor System Review

The system we are going to talk about today can really become an equivalent replacement for a desktop PC. This Shuttle barebone can perform any function from a modern gaming center to an industrial server. It can be recommended to all categories of...

The XPC SB81P stands up to Shuttle’s expectations. This system can really become an equivalent replacement of a desktop PC. We can confirm the manufacturer's statement that the tested barebone can perform any function from a modern gaming center to an...

Shuttle's SB81P XPC

Although they now face some stiff competition from the likes of Biostar, Iwill, Soltek and MSI, among others, Shuttle deserves credit for almost single-handedly spurring the so-called small form factor revolution. When they initially released the...

Benchmark Summary: The Shuttle SB81P XPC performed well in our entire battery of benchmarks, despite of the fact that it wasn't able to claim the top spot any particular test. These results stem from the fact that the FB81 motherboard installed in the...

Shuttle's XPC SB81P mini-barebones system

WE'VE BEEN REVIEWING Shuttle's small form factor systems since the first SV24, when...

During the course of this review, I've pointed out some substantial shortcomings of the XPC SB81P. The Pentium 4 thermal throttling problem is at the top of the list. Shuttle needs to release its XPC Tools to the public, and more importantly, the...

Shuttle XPC SB81P Barebones Runs Cool and Quiet

Shuttle's new XPC SB81P Barebones for Socket 775 with PCI Express manages to impress, even though it is still in the pre-launch stage of its ...

With the XPC SB81P Shuttle has shown that the latest technologies like PCI Express and Socket 775 don't have to stop short at Barebones. CPU cooling is done quickly and effectively by a clever system made up of fans and heatpipe to remove heat...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

It works okay.

Small, compact. The lights on the front look cool. The startup screen looks cool. I was able to fit, one IDE drive, one Sata HD and one Sata DVD/CR Rom drive in it. The on board CPU fan is kind of noisy

This is not the best rig to go with if you are a gamer. The power supply does not pack enough punch to run a high end card from NVidia or ATI. This is not a problem for me since I do not game on this thing
