Shuttle's XPC SN21G5 barebones system

SHUTTLE GOT THE small form factor barebones party started way back in 2001...

It's been a while since we've reviewed one of Shuttle's XPC systems, and in many ways, not much has changed. That's not necessarily a bad thing in some respects, since the G5 chassis and ICE cooler are still effective designs that competitors have yet...

Shuttle XPC SN21G5 AMD Athlon X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 AMD Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 GeForce 6100 Barebone

They really need to fix the fan on this one. I've had louder computers but not by a lot and the only one was a full sized dual chip tower with multiple fans. I'd go with another Shuttle model.

Easy to assemble except of CD eject button

Normally a huge Shuttle fan but this one is extremely loud, obnoxiously so and the CD eject button took me 15 minutes of trying to get it lined up right. It's for a gift so it was a huge disappointment

Excellent Value

Even though it is a small computer, it has the power of a full sized unit.

One of the best values on Newegg. I went with this Socket 939 Shuttle because it took my existing 1G of DDR RAM and 120GB SATA HD. Even with these "older" components, this machine flat out screams with the low end AMD A64 3200+ CPU I put in it. Also,...

It would be nice to have more than two rear USB ports, but that is really being nitpicky. I don't have a need for more than two

XPC SN21G5

For a nice small PC this is great. NewEgg has the best selection, service and prices.

Great little box. Built two for my wife and myself. 64x2 3800+, Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR400, WD 200GB SATA3.0 hard drive, Pioneer 16x DVD burner, Sabrent 52-in-1 card reader and Viewsonic VA1912wb 19" wide screen displays. Runs fast, cool and...

Nice little machine

This is a very nice budget solution. I coupled it with an AMD Athlon 3000 and 512MB and it is fast. If you put some more serious hardware in it you should see real nice speeds. As a budget model I missed the integrated TV out which forced me to buy a...

This is a nice looking machine that doesn't make a lot of noise. It works well and I haven't had any issues

The ATA cable is too short to connect to both HDD and DVDrom. Due to the cable ammounts in the case it's hard to remove the ICE heatpipe to install the CPU

exceeded my expectations

manual extremely helpful during the installation. I was surprised how this baby handles a 3800 x2 and a X800gt on that psu=stable PSU. for this price its an incredible deal. Running very stable.

Form factor, Design, pci express-16, superb PSU, excellent instruction manual, great cooling, and silent

psu is still 250W

Another Excellent Shuttle Product

These little boxes are great, so much horsepower in such a tight package. Plus they look snazzy!

Extremely pleased with this unit. As always, quick and easy install of all components. The fan is very quiet! My old tower sounded like a jet ... this is total stealth

Took several attempts to get CD button lined up with external push rod even WITH the shuttle build CD/DVD unit

Best Small Form Factor

AMD X2 3800, Corsair 2GB DDR400, Western Digital 80GB SATA, Western Digital 250GB SATA, NEC 3550B 16X DL DVD. Very quick and reliable setup for not a lot of money.

I've been building various Shuttle SFF PC's for about 3 years now. All my customers love them, and it's all I use for my own pc's. I've built everything from full-blown gaming machines to basic workstations, and these always perform as well as their...

Absolutely amazing

Buy it! This thing is great! AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ EVGA e-GeForce 7900 GT KO 1GB of DDR400 RAM

It is so small! I couldn't believe the size when I first got the package. Everything fits in very snuggly and is everything I could ever want

Putting the computer together was quick, but kind of hard because of the size. Nothing to degrade the score over, though
