Vizio CA27T-B1 review

Desktop computers are commodity devices, in case you didn't get the memo. Vizio does nothing to dispel this impression: in fact, the company seems to embrace it. Like TVs, you get what you pay for.

The Vizio CA27T-B1 has a quad-core Core i7 processor, dual HDMI inputs, and an included remote and wireless clickpad; comparable specs to competitors in this price range.

Cheaper-feeling plastic accessories and a bulky subwoofer power brick clunk up the otherwise clean design; only a 1080p display; screen is solidly mounted but wobbles when touched.

Vizio’s top-of-the-line 27-inch touch all-in-one gets a modest update but stays traditional compared with detachable, convertible alternatives.

Vizio 27-inch All-in-One Touch PC (CA27T-B1)

The Vizio 27-inch All-in-One Touch PC (CA27T-B1) isn't just a pretty face; it has performance and a plethora of features in its corner.

Modern design. 27-inch touch-screen display. Two HDMI in ports, Four USB 3.0 ports. 802.11ac WiFi. Improved touchpad. Good sound. Two-year warranty. No Bloatware. Very good performance from quad-core processor and caching SSD.

Proprietary subwoofer/AC adapter. No HDMI-out. Slippery keyboard.

Big-screen touch PC, no surprises: Vizio CA27T-B1 review

Vizio takes the conservative road with this update to last year's touch-screen all-in-one. No detachable tablet mode here, just a straight-up PC-on-a-stand with solid specs.

The ; has a quad-core Core i7 processor, dual HDMI inputs, and an included remote and wireless clickpad; comparable specs to competitors in this price range.

Vizio CA27T-B1 27-inch Touch All-in-One Core i7

The Vizio all-in-ones that debuted last year look like TVs, come with dual HDMI inputs, and have their own IR remotes. Late last year the desktops added touch screens . On the eve of newer Intel processors coming out, we looked at the latest iteration...

Vizio CA27T-B1 review: A pretty all-in-one, good for everything except games

This AiO looks good and performs well, but Vizio needs to update its peripherals game and get with the discrete GPU program.

Attractive, stylish design ; Four USB 3.0 ports ; 32GB SSD hard-drive cache

No discrete graphics card ; Choppy trackpad ; No mouse or optical drive

Vizio's latest all-in-one looks good and performs well, but Vizio needs to up its peripherals game.

Attractive design, Perky performance, Good display quality, Great 2.1 surround-sound system

Subpar, plasticky-feeling keyboard, Touch pad instead of mouse, Screen wobbles during touch operation

As mentioned, we don't consider the above to be deal-breakers—this Vizio comes through where it matters, in terms of great sound and screen, highly responsive touch operation, and strong performance. The design flaws cost the CA27T-B1 an Editors'...

Vizio CA27T-B1 Review and Ratings

An attractive and strong-performing all-in-one desktop with a great-looking screen and fine sound system comes at a fair price, but cheap-feeling peripherals and a poorly anchored display diminish its overall value.

Attractive design ; Perky performance ; Good display quality ; Great 2.1 surround-sound system

Subpar, plasticky-feeling keyboard ; Touch pad instead of mouse ; Screen wobbles during touch operation

The 27-inch Vizio all-in-one is built around Intel's third-generation 2.4GHz Core i7-3630QM quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB (5,400 rpm) hard drive augmented by a 32GB solid-state drive. Intel's HD Graphics 4000 silicon handles graphics...
