Canon PowerShot Elph 115 IS

The Canon PowerShot Elph 115 IS compact camera isn't the best performer, but budget-minded shooters will appreciate its size and zoom range.

8x zoom lens. Compact. Inexpensive. Sharp images.

Slow performance. Noisy images at moderate ISO settings. Low-res LCD. Video limited to 720p.

Performance and Conclusions Be prepared to wait a bit when shooting with the Elph 115 IS. It requires 1.9 seconds to start and take a shot, and there's a long 1.4-second wait between shots. The shutter lag is acceptable at 0.2 seconds. The Sony...

Canon IXUS 132 Review

The Canon IXUS 132 is a point and shoot digital compact camera featuring fully automatic modes for simplicity, an 8x optical zoom starting from 28mm, fun shooting modes and a 16 megapixel sensor. Top that off with a Digic 4 processor and the IXUS 132...

When using a Canon IXUS it's easy to fall into the mind-frame that it's a top of the range model – because of the well known branding. The IXUS 132 is a sub £100 model, so it can't be treated in the same way. There are going to be some failings and...

Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS

The ELPH 115 IS is an excellent photographic sleeping aid.

Extremely compact, with a decent zoom range; Inexpensive

Extremely barebones; Likely horrendous in dim light

If you have very low expectations for a digital camera, the ELPH 115 IS might suit your needs.
