Canon IXUS 190

As has been well-documented, sales of compact cameras have been adversely affected by the rise in popularity of the smartphone. With the Canon IXUS 190, if you own a smartphone, it’s hard to imagine why you’d want to buy this separately.

Wifi downloading is easy, no more having to find cable etc. Nice and compact, light and easy to use.

Struggled to take good pictures at night without trying different settings, auto function struggled in difficult light situations.

Very small and compact. Image stabilisation. (Essential as you can't avoid camera shake when using the LCD display) WiFi connection to PC (when, eventually, you get it working).

Difficult to handle without accidentally pressing a button. No view finder so very difficult to use in bright sunlight. Instructions to set up WiFi are incomplete, so useless.

I cannot think of any

1) Build quality not as good as my previous cannon powershot that was metal. 2) No paper manuel. 3) Not compatible with "XP" 4) Battery not the same size as the powershot so not interchangeable. 5) When everything is getting smaller you managed to make...

No HDMI port much to my surprise. and not stereo sound.

I would have liked a user manual with it Instead of having to download it off the Internet. Also the zoom button Is In an awkward place.

Battery does not last long. But otherwise ok
