Canon PowerShot Elph 140 IS

The Canon PowerShot Elph 140 IS doesn't have the features of more expensive cameras, but is a decent option for budget-minded photographers.

Inexpensive. 8x zoom range. Compact.

Images on the noisy side. Wide-angle coverage limited to 28mm. Low-resolution rear display. Video limited to 720p. Lacks Wi-Fi and other advanced features.

Performance and Conclusions The Elph 140 IS starts and shoots in about 1.4 seconds, focuses in about 0.2-second, and fires off a photo every 1.3 seconds in continuous shooting mode. That's not out of the ordinary for an inexpensive compact. If you're...

MY camerea died after a year!

I should have bought a extended warranty! I don't think I'll be buying another Canon product.

I loved the picture quality and the ease of use. There are many features that make taking pictures a blast

My camera died after a year of use!! I made just over 250 pictures and a few movies

POWERSHOT SD850 IS 8.0 MP 3.8 OPTICAL ZOOM

If you take pictures with available light or high zoom, stabilization makes it happen. This is a good tradeoff between cost, capability and quality. Highly recommend as a desirable point and camera. I really like mine.

Image stabilization makes the zoom function usable. Great pictures at max zoom

Not as sharp at high magnification of image as my prior camera, Casio Ex-Z750.

POWERSHOT SD850 IS 8.0 MP 3.8 OPTICAL ZOOM

So far so good, I am excited about this camera!

Great point and camera, haven't really experimented much with it yet

on certain settings the shutter takes longer to and I just wasn't prepared for that. I haven't found a way to convert a picture to email mode which my old camera had and was really handy!
