Casio Exilim EX-S880 digital camera

While most manufacturers are pushing 12 megapixel compact cameras, Casio's latest camera is an 8 megapixel shooter that promises a bunch of consumer friendly tech, but is it enough? We get snapping to find out. The Casio EX-S880 is a good little...

Picture quality, build quality, design, ease of use

Not much

The Casio EX-S880 is a good little snapper that is well built, compact and takes great pictures.

Casio Exilim EX-S880 8.3Mp compact camera

The ultra-thin 8.3Mp Casio Exilim EX-S880 compact camera is similar in shape and size to BenQ's DC-T700, however Casio forgoes the touchscreen for a more traditional approach.

The Casio Exilim EX-S880 is a very capable and feature-rich camera with good image quality; however it's also pretty expensive for a compact camera.

Casio Exilim S880

Casio Exilim EX-S880 is a digital camera that takes 8.1 megapixel shots. It has 3x zoom and is ultra-compact in build. It measures 94.5 x 60.4 x 17.3 mm, and weighs just 128 grammes. The camera is known as one of the thinnest cameras on the market, and...

The S880 looks great, is fast, easy to use, and shoots pretty good movies. If its images favour bright sunlight and close-up party snaps, that’s exactly what style-conscious punters will be using it for. Casio Exilim S880 is tagged with Casio, digital...

Casio Exilim Card EX-S880

Our newest Best4Reviews writer, Becci Russell, gets to grips with the Casio Exilim Card EX-S880, a slender digital compact camera, offering 8.1-megapixels and a host of useful features. But how does it fair in its Best4Reviews test?

Extensive ‘Best Shot’ modes, ‘YouTube’ feature, ‘Face Recognition’ AF (and face storage feature), Price

Inconsistency of picture quality, Inconsistent Auto Focus, Compromises made between its look, practicality and handling

Overall, the Casio Exilim Card EX-S880 is a slim, stylish snapper – it looks good, it takes lovely pictures at lower ISO settings (and when the focus is right!) and it has great auto shooting features too. It’s just a shame there are so many niggles.On...

Casio Exilim EX-S880

The Casio Exilim EX-S880 is a very slim digital camera. It has been made to slip easily into a pocket. It has 8 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens and all the standard features of a typical point and shoot digital camera.

Simplicity - simple design - LCD screen shows key menu options

Sharper images - brighter shots

This camera scores well for its small size and ease of use. I did find the camera struggles with focusing once you get any real distance in the shot. It was able to handle closer subjects better. It is an incredibly slim camera.

Casio Exilim EX-S880

Feature packed, but lacking on the image quality front

This has a huge array of superb scene modes and the manual controls are really accessible. But the lens quality is a worry

Casio Exilim EX-S880

The Casio EX-S880 boasts an impressive array of video-recording features, but suffers from poor still-image quality.

Captures MPEG-4 video. Handy YouTube movie mode. Effective face detection and image stabilization.

Poor image quality. Underpowered flash. Must use cradle to charge. ; Watch the Casio Exilim EX-S880 Video Review!
