Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z60 digital camera

The Casio Exilim range continues to grow and this, the latest little Exilim puts a marker down for those requiring a simple and easy to use digital camera with a modicum of extras thrown in to help get better results. Casio's Exilim compacts are...

Good design and build, compact and easy to use, anti-shake mode with high sensitivity setting, 33 automated snapping modes

Flash provides unreliable control, no manual shooting control, noisy in shadows at higher ISO

Casio's Exilim compacts are quietly building a big fan base with those that know of them and word of mouth, offering stylish, simple to use and compact cameras at good prices. The Z60 retails for a penny under £200, but you'll get it around £30 cheaper...

Casio Exilim EX-Z60

The pocket sized Casio Exilim EX-Z60 has six megapixels. All in all I would describe this as a fairly typical compact digital camera. It has a three times zoom lens.

Design and style ; Ease of use

Indoor photos ; Very small internal memory

"The Casio Exilim EX-Z60 is a competitively priced digital camera. It is not quite slim enough for me to class it as pocket sized, but it is still slender and well designed. The main strength of the camera is ease of use. Photo quality outdoors is...

Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z60

While the benefits of a camera you can slip into a pocket are obvious, with less to hold on to there's more chance of camera shake. This svelte model gets around the problem by offering a built-in image stabiliser.

Just because you buy an ultra-compact camera, it doesn't mean you're looking for compromised features.

A disappointing effort from Casio, the Z60 suffers quite badly in terms of image quality and doesn't live up to the reputation created by their other models.

Fairly quick, Colour

Noise problems, High chromatic aberration, Low sharpness

Casio Exilim EX-Z60 review:

Casio Exilim EX-Z60 With its slim, brushed-black or brushed-silver metal body and rounded edges, the 6-megapixel Casio Exilim EX-Z60 looks more like a slightly oversize high-tech business-card case than a camera. It boasts enough style to impress a...

Attractive and small.

Mediocre photos; hard to use LCD in bright sunlight.

A nifty ultracompact undermined by poor photo quality, the Casio Exilim EX-Z60 isn't your best choice.
