Fujifilm GFX100 review

Medium format, large price tag

Produces brilliantly detail-rich shots ; Surprisingly user-friendly ; Great build quality and battery life

Hefty in the hand ; Lethal on the wallet ; 102MP feels like overkill

An outstanding camera (that you probably shouldn’t buy)

Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay

The Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay is a fun point-and-shoot camera with a built-in printer that works with Instax film.

On-demand instant photo printing. Compact. Affordable. Instax Mini film is readily available.

No in-camera editing. Not great in dim light. Subpar rear display. Image quality isn't competitive with flagship smartphones. Audio recording is a gimmick. No film included.

Bottom Line: The Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay is a fun point-and-shoot camera with a built-in printer that works with Instax film.

Fujifilm GFX100

The Fujifilm GFX100 is, bar none, the best medium format camera on the market today, thanks to an advanced autofocus system and in-body stabilization.

100MP resolution. Sensor nearly twice as large as full-frame. In-body stabilization. Phase detection autofocus. Removable viewfinder. High-quality 4K video. Rugged, all-weather build.

Huge file sizes. Vertical shooting grip and controls could feel better. 1/125-second flash sync. Big, bulky lenses. Power-hungry. EVF blocks tilt screen.

Bottom Line: The Fujifilm GFX100 is, bar none, the best medium format camera on the market today, thanks to an advanced autofocus system and in-body stabilization.

Fujifilm Fujinon XC 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS

The Fujifilm Fujinon XC 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS is a solid option for Fuji shooters looking for a basic zoom lens, but the more expensive 18-55mm is a better choice.

Very sharp. Useful zoom range. Optically stabilized. Includes hood.

Lacks aperture ring. Plastic lens mount. Narrow aperture. Some distortion at 16mm.

The Fujifilm Fujinon XC 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS is a solid example of a lens that balances costs and performance. Like most bundled zoom lenses it does skimp a bit in terms of build quality. But while they tend to suffer in terms of sharpness, especially...

Fujifilm FinePix E510 The Fujifilm FinePix E510 digital camera packs 5 megapixels and a handful of advanced features into a sturdy and efficiently designed silver body. With its many tweakable priority modes and a pop-up flash, the E510 aims for the...

Intuitive design; superb wide-angle performance; decent set of manual controls.

Poor shot-to-shot performance; slow flash refresh; multiple photo-quality problems.

Fujifilm's 5-megapixel E510 has plenty of features but also a handful of problems.
