Fujifilm FinePix 2300 Digital Camera Review: Intro and Highlights

A longtime contender in the digital imaging arena, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc. has made a strong showing in consumer-based digital cameras in recent years. Fujifilm's first digicam under the FinePix brand name -- the 4700 Zoom -- was introduced in...

Fuji FinePix 2300

What's in the Box

Good pictures, low price ; USB support ; Very easy to use

Slow reading/writing files to SmartMedia ; Digital zoom and continuous shooting only work in 640 x 480 ; No rechargeable batteries included

I must confess that after using so many high end cameras, using the FinePix 2300 is kind of a shock. There are no bells and whistles, gimmicks, or smoke and mirrors on the FP2300. What you will find, is a low-cost camera that takes good pictures. The...

FinePix 2300: Good starter/kid camera

This camera was released in 2001, so it's quite cheap online these days($70). It's actually pretty good, so if you are looking for a backup camera, or one for the kids, etc. it's worth considering. It can take images of up to 2.1 mega-pixels (that's ...

Battery life, quick startup, no shutter lag, small files, pocketable size, AA batteries.

No zoom, difficulty in low light.

Flexible, simple to use camera

I didn't actually own this camera, I owned the 2200 (, but from everything I can see, they are exactly the same, the 2200 was just rebranded for a store in the UK. Either way :) I loved my Fuji ...

Basic, easy to use, quality pictures. Friendly interface and button layout.

Dated look, a good weight to it, no movie mode

Say Cheeeeeese!! (Fujifilm FinePix 2300 Digital Camera)

I am not a professional reviewer. This is not a professional review. If you want to know the technical definition of megapixels or exactly what crankers crank to make the zoom possible, you should probably look for a different review. =) I had ...

Lightweight, easy to use when you figure out the instruction book, great quality pictures

Click...wait wait wait...flash* (grrrr) a.k.a. "shutter lag"

Aim, shoot, enjoy!

I've been using digital camera since 1997 and this is the best digital camera I have so far. Pulled out from it's box, just put 4x AA batteries and I'm ready to take my memorable moments. I didn't even bother to set date/time. Just shoot! A set of 4 ...

Easy-to-use, good picture quality, using normal AA batteries

Not so good picture under low light/night time

Great for Newbies!

Well with great trepidation I set out to buy a digital camera and wanted a lost cost for lots of value. I went on and had a winning bid of $169.00 S/H.

User friendly instructions. Great for a 1st time user of digital cameras.

Too big for pockets, not much depth of field. Poor printing lower pixel settings.
