A new addition that plays the percentages well

Fujifilm FinePix F31fd

The F31fd is an update to the F30, with the only new feature being the addition of face-detection technology. What we have, then, is a good-quality digital compact that's competing with the best of the top compacts, too

Great in low light, Good motion capture, Fact detection technology, Good value for money

Dull looks

A competent little camera. It's easy to use and produces good pictures as a result

The Fuji Finepix F31fd is a top digital camera. The sharpness of the photos it takes is striking. This is supported by natural colours. The camera excels in lowlight, is compact and stylish.

Fujifilm FinePix F31fd

If there's a faster way to boost sales of average cameras than to give them a gleaming metal housing and shave a few millimetres from their waistlines, we haven't heard about it. So it's with a certain degree of trepidation that we approach this Fujifilm

Fujifilm FinePix F31fd

Don't fall for the megapixels arms race: 6.3MP is fine for even sizable enlargements and you gain far more in usable high-sensitivity shooting than you'll ever lose in raw resolution. This is a fantastic second camera for evening and snap shooting.
