Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR

The Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR is a big camera with an impressive 42x zoom lens and plenty of controls, but its images don't hold up in low light.

Manual 42x zoom lens. Sharp images. High-quality vari-angle LCD. Sharp EVF. Lots of physical controls. Raw shooting support.

As big as an SLR. Limited continuous shooting. Images suffer at higher ISO settings. Nonstandard mic input.

Performance and Conclusions The HS50EXR starts and grabs a shot in about 1.5 seconds. Its shutter lag is an acceptable 0.2-second, and it can fire off a burst of 7 JPG photos at just under 8 frames per second. If you opt to shoot Raw or Raw+JPG the...

Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR Review

The FinePix HS50EXR is Fujifilm's latest offering in the super zoom segment, which replaces the HS30EXR. Mind you, it's not a cosmetic upgrade along with higher zoom and a few other improvements over its predecessor. Although it's difficult to...

The Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR is priced at an MRP of Rs 32,999, but you can buy it online for around Rs 1,000 less. Considering what you get and the kind of performance this camera offers, we feel it’s a bit overpriced. It would have been an attractive...

Who tested this camera? I bought it after testing your so called best buys and they were nowhere near it! The manual zoom is fast, accurate and perfect. I bought it for use as a back-up camera for my Nikon D7000 for the Farnborough Air Show in 2014. In...

I can only agree wholeheartedly with all the previous comments about the HS50's performance - I've had mine since Christmas 2013 & find using it & the results it produces to be 1st class. Regarding Which's criticism of its low light performance, I've...

I am a serious amateur photographer with over 40 years experience, and this is simply the best camera I have ever owned. The non motorised zoom is a joy to use compared to a motorised zoom, it handles well takes excellent pictures, and with the raw...

In a word excellent. My first digital camera after many years using a film SLR.Spent a long time on reviews and after relying on Which? Best Buys for over 45 years was dismayed for the low % given by Which?, since it was given excellent reviews by...

Fuji HS50 EXR Bridge Camera

I am as amazed at your test report on this camera as all the previous reviewers. Are you sure you were testing the right camera? The HS50 is probably the closest a bridge camer can get in features and performance to a top prosumer DSLR as is possible,...

I agree with everything that Dennisjanet says, -this is a very good camera. Every other review that I have read has said as much. I can't understand the Which review at all. If Which is right then an awful lot of other expert reviewers have been...

I don't know who tested this camera at Which but, whoever they are, they are so far off the mark it makes you wonder whether they are looking at the same camera! Focus speed is just about an par with an entry level DSLR as is picture quality. You can...
