Very good image quality.Natural-looking coloursBroad dynamic range.Excellent metering.CCD-RAW format.10X optical zoom.Good ergonomic design.

Limited choice for image quality.Compression a bit too strong with the best JPEG image quality.Image sharpness better with telephoto than with wide angle.CCD-RAW conversion software lacks flexibility.

Fujifilm FinePix S5200 Review

With 10x optical zoom and 5.1MP resolution, the Fujifilm S5200 provides excellent image quality. Similar to the Fujifilm F10, noise is low at ISO 64, 100, 200 and 400. ISO 400 is very usable, and a high ISO 1600 allows you to get the shot where...

Finepix S5200 Digital Camera

The Fujifilm S5200 is fast in a number of ways. For one thing, it starts up quickly: It was ready to shoot in about a second after we turned the power on, and shutter lag was less than half a second. That's quick enough to ensure that you wouldn't miss...

Top-notch image quality Fast autofocus

Images shot at ISO 1600 looked noisy

The lens's styling gives the impression that you can zoom by twisting it, but unfortunately you can't do this. And it's sometimes a little difficult to tell whether your photos are in focus or not, since the LCD screen is rather small. But these are...

Top-notch image quality ; Fast autofocus

Images shot at ISO 1600 looked noisy

A snappy autofocus and top-notch image quality make the S5200 hard to beat. It shoots at ISO 1600, but images looked noisy.

Fuji FinePix S5200

The Fuji FinePix S5200 is a solid superzoom that takes good-quality stills and video clips.

Very good color, sharpness, and image quality. Light and portable. Quick boot-up.

Small LCD screen. 10X, not 12X optical zoom. Some softness due to noise. Slow recycle time. ; Watch the Fuji FinePix S5200 Video Review!

Fujifilm FinePix S5200 review

Fujifilm FinePix S5200

Fast, high-quality 10X zoom lens; solid image quality at high ISO speeds; very snappy performance; attractive and comfortable design.

No image stabilization available to steady long telephoto shots; bulky size and shape; fringing in photos; noise at low ISO settings.

The Fujifilm FinePix S5200 is a well-designed, well-built camera with very good performance. It's a bit large, however, and artifacts in its photos may turn off some shooters.

Fujifilm FinePix S5200

The easy-to-use FinePix S5200 offers a slew of advanced features for a low price. It takes great pictures, and its snappy start-up and shooting times ensure that you'll almost always get the shot you want.

Fast ; auto-focus modes are flexible ; good image quality ; well-constructed body ; good viewfinder ; long battery life

On-screen menus use unfamiliar terminology ; small LCD ; images noisy in low light shots

A couple of unconventional auto-focus modes make this camera flexible. The AF Multi mode, for example, focuses on a high-contrast object located near the center of the screen. This works well when you take shots of two people because even if the faces...
