Fujifilm FinePix XP130

A budget alternative to the premium rugged compacts. Fujifilm FinePix XP130.

Simple to use ; More affordable than other rugged cameras ; Pocket-sized but rugged

Average image quality ; No 4K video recording ; Light on features compared to rivals

If you’re looking for a budget, rugged compact then the Fujfilm XP130 is still worth considering. But it’s since been overtaken by pricier but more capable rivals like the Olympus Tough TG-5.

Fujifilm FinePix XP130 review

Cheap and cheerful waterproof compact

Low price ; Lightweight at 207g ; Handy electronic level ; Waterproof to 10m ; Drop-prof from 1.8m

Short battery life ; No RAW photos or 4K video ; Confusing wireless file transfer ; Poor in low light & with fast action ; Few manual controls

Ideal for skiers and snorkelers looking for something tough and waterproof, this point-and-shoot camera is hamstrung by average photos and a short battery life.

Replacing the older XP120, the Fujifilm Finepix XP130 is a waterproof camera with a depth rating of 20 metres. New features include Bluetooth connectivity, electronic level and eye detect autofocus, but do these specs make the camera worth considering?...

Fujifilm FinePix XP130 Review

We review the new XP130, Fujifilm's latest waterproof compact camera, with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The XP130 improves battery life, and now has Bluetooth. Unfortunately, like the XP120 before it, the camera struggles to give good image quality, with the folded optics lens, and slow aperture producing images with low levels of detail. If you don't...

Fujifilm FinePix XP130

The Fujifilm FinePix XP130 is a tough, waterproof, budget-friendly pocket camera, but you'll need to spend more if you're after advanced features and manual control.

Affordable. Tough, waterproof design. Simple operation. 5x zoom lens. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Video limited to 1080p. So-so lens with limited macro focus. Rear LCD doesn't support touch.

Bottom Line: The Fujifilm FinePix XP130 is a tough, waterproof, budget-friendly pocket camera, but you'll need to spend more if you're after advanced features and manual control.

Fujifilm FinePix XP130 Review

The Fujifilm FinePix XP130 is a minor upgrade of last year's XP120 camera, adding four mild improvements to keep things fresh for 2018. Fujifilm have apparently sold 5 million XP cameras since the first model was released, so they've clearly decided to...

Fujifilm XP130 Review

Every spring, as regular as clockwork, Fujifilm shows a little love to its rugged XP-series outdoor camera line. Usually arriving in the first two months of the year, each new XP-series camera has shared the same basic formula ever since the line's...

Good little camera

The camera is not that simple to set up. Partly, the problem is very small print for instructions, and mostly not in English. Otherwise, it's quite small and lightweight. You need to practice a lot but I'm not sure it's worth the money.
