Fujifilm - MX-2700

This is a very compact little camera with a solid-feeling Duralumin body. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, but still has the highest resolution of any of the cameras in the group. It uses ...

Fujifilm MX-2700 / Fujifilm Finepix 2700

The FujiFilm MX-2700 is a natural progression from the popular MX-700, the MX-2700 comes in a very similar package and shares similar diminutive proportions, vertical orientation and overal styling. Slight styling changes include a protruding hand grip...

Good image quality, overall colour balance, good sharpness; High resolution (1800 x 1200); Fairly quick operation (fast startup, average cycle times); Flash output controllable; Well thought-out on-screen menus; Simple to use; Good construction, well...

Up-close image quality concerns: zipper effect, flat area noise and thermal noise at slower shutter speeds; Auto white balance can easily be fooled, white balance needs to be selected for best results; Sometimes requires "double focus" (two...

The MX-2700 is Fuji's answer to the easily pocketable easy-to-use 2 megapixel class camera and to that extent it fits the bill, most people wouldn't notice or be bothered by the occasional image artifact (although poor performance in low light was a...

Fujifilm MX-2700

The new FujiFilm MX-2700 (on the right) is the smallest 2.3-megapixel digital camera that we have tested so far. Pictured here next to the MX-700, its 1.5 megapixel sibling that started the "mini-megapixel" revolution for FujiFilm. The MX-2700 is h

Fuji MX-2700

A fine camera for anyone starting out in digital photography. Overall a very good camera. No real flaws to mention, just a couple of things which became irritating after a while:

Quality of pictures,battery,price

slow serial port, zoom lens, processing high resolution

Nice, but beware of Fuji rebates

I purchased this camera a few months ago for over $600. A key factor in my decision was the "free" smart card reader that would enable me to quickly transfer images and the small size of the camera.

Small size, easy to recharge, metal case

No USB and no optical zoom, not great in low light
