Surprisingly excellent, even as a second hand! How about an "Owner's Manual" that is missing?

I bought this camera in June, 2001 from one Japanese backpacker traveling in Vietnam who offered to sell it to me for the equivalent of US$150, the reason he gave was that the only 2MB SmartMedia he had with it was inadequate for his picture taking....

Produces the best among digital photos of the same resolution taken by other digital cameras.

Slow recycle time between shots. No optical zoom.

Fuji -MX-500 Great!!

This is a great consumer camera! As a prior owner of a Fuji DS-7, I was looking to upgrade to megapixel quality without significantly downgrading my checking account. The MX-500 fits this bill as it is, basically, a MX-700 repackaged without the metal...

Almost two years, no regrets

I have had this camera for almost two years now and I absolutely love it. Its shape and size make it look like a normal film camera. Unlike Nikon coolpix and some other cameras with unconventional looks and it has all the features you would need for...

your first digital camera is waiting...

I received this camera as a gift, mainly because my parents were interested in having a digicam. I have found it to be a very useful piece for simple shooting, but not without limitations. In design, I find it to closely copy 80's vintage Disc format...

simple to use, eye catching looks, macro shooting

MX-500: Great camera

I haven't owned that many digital cameras. In fact, I've owned one. :) However, I have used others. While this camera is not perfect, it is really easy to use and takes good quality photos.

light, uses AA batteries, up to 16MB flash, floppy adaptor available for flash, macro and digital zoom

doesn't always work in all lighting conditions

Fuji Digital Camera

I purchased a Fuji MX-500 about 15 months ago. I was looking for a digital camera that would give me good 'people' pictures since my daughter was expecting her first child. I wanted something that would let me put good pictures on the web, e-mail...

great pictures, compact size, now realatively inexpensive

Excellent family camera

The Fuji MX-500 is a great camera:

easy to use, takes great point and shoot pictures, easy software installation and functionality, battery lasts long, good controls

does not have optical zoom, flash not strong enough for far pictures, 3 second delay before you can shoot another picture, no mpeg mode

Square format makes all the difference

The quality of this camera is superb. I have had the opportunity of sampling many mid-priced cameras. Between the Fujis, Minoltas, Nikons, and others, I feel the MX series Fuji digital cameras pull ahead of all others. The square format pixle is really...
