Fujifilm X-S1

Is this the best superzoom of them all?

Manually operated zoom ; Larger than average 2/3inch sensor ; Good quality electronic viewfinder ; Much better image quality than most superzooms

Slight sluggish AF at long telephoto ; Slow shot to shot time ; Doesn't match image quality of DSLR or CSC

Is this the Fujifilm X-S1 26x super zoom camera worth spending £700 on?

Solid build quality ; Very broad focal range ; Large electronic viewfinder

Pricey ; Bulky and heavy ; Soft results at maximum zoom

Great electronic viewfinder, images are great (save for specular highlight issue), decent build, manual zoom and focus rings

Specular highlights can morph into white dots, autofocus not all it could have been

The X-S1 is king of the superzooms and will see off any of the competition. Though, at £700, it’s a costly investment. But an investment is just what it feels like – this is a quality bit of engineering.

Fujifilm X-S1 review

In our last round-up of ultra-zoom cameras we found that the best features were split across three cameras. The Canon PowerShot SX40 HS came top for image quality, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 for performance and video quality, and the Fujifilm...

Fujifilm X-S1 review

Can this large-sensor superzoom take the category to a more professional level?

Best in class images, best in class viewfinder, great stabilisation system, manual zoom and focus rings

Sensor issues with specular highlights, autofocus won’t rival a DSLR, on/off issue on occasion, it's rather expensive
