Nikon Coolpix 5600

The Nikon Coolpix 5600 is a true point and shoot model with very few manual control to clutter the small, 85x60x35mm, 130g (without its two AA batteries) camera.

Neat and compact styling, large 1.8-inch colour screen, good image quality

Flash recycle time, limited manual controls, underexposure of bright scenes – even landscapes in Landscape mode.

The Nikon Coolpix 5600 is let down by a slow flash recycle rate and metering issues. However, it's very easy to use, a good price and is able to produce some super shots in ideal conditions.

Nikon Coolpix 5600

Nikon Coolpix 5600 Review. This is a standard point and shoot digital camera with five megapixels and a three times zoom lens. It is an entry level digital camera.

Easy to use ; Strong colours

Disappointing indoors

"Solid, standard digital camera. Takes good photos outdoors, but is prone to struggle indoors when the light is poor. Easy to use."

Nikon CoolPix 5600

A real go-anywhere camera, the 5600 is still large enough to sit comfortably in the hand for natural-feeling use. The easy-to-use dials and switches are all top-drawer in construction and the picture quality is stunning, especially considering the limited

Nikon Coolpix 5600

The 5600 is light and fun to use, but we take issue with its image quality and speed—specifically recycle time.

Nicely designed. Compact form factor. Has 16 easy-to-use scene modes.

Terribly slow recycle time. Small LCD. Problems with picture quality.

Nikon Coolpix 5600 Digital Camera Camera

Both novice and experienced digital photographers will appreciate the Coolpix 5600's intuitive controls. Measuring 3.4 by 2.4 by 1.4 inches, the 5600 fits easily in your right hand. Some features, like the scene-mode selection wheel, cater to casual...

Some of the Coolpix 5600's bonus features--such as the ability to create Sepia-tone or black-and-white snaps--seemed gimmicky, but Nikon's D-Lighting option (which instantly brightens overly dark snapshots) worked very well. The Coolpix doesn't include...
